Special Unloading Requirements When Shipping Via Truck Freight or Common Carrier:
This item is shipped via "truck freight" (common carrier or flat-bed, not UPS). The truck must be able to access the place of delivery.
Truck freight companies do NOT require their drivers to unload shipments. An additional "Lift Gate" fee will apply if the driver unloads the merchandise. Lift gate service simply means that the freight is lowered to the ground. It is the customer's responsibility to move the product after it has been lowered to the ground.
The shipping carrier will call and schedule delivery, at which time, you may request a "Lift Gate" (provided the weight and dimensions of the product fits the criteria for lift gate service) and arrange payment with the carrier for that service.
Please inspect all packages upon delivery. Any damages or shortages MUST be noted on the bill of lading at the time of delivery. Notify the carrier and Northern Tool immediately and we will assist you as fully as we can. Please retain a signed copy of the bill of lading for your records.

The SHOP FOX® Gunsmithing Lathe is a superb gearhead lathe that's in the bull's eye with its high-tolerance bearings, D1-5 camlock spindle, outboard spindle bore supports, quick change gearbox, induction-hardened bed ways and extra-fine longitudinal feed rate of 0.0011in./r and cross feed rate of 0.0004in./r. Other features include a heavy-duty vibration dampening cast iron stand, ball bearing tipped follow rest and steady rest, and a tailstock that can be tightened with a torque wrench to maintain precision chuck-to-tailstock alignment every time the tailstock is locked down. Even if you are not a gunsmith, you'll appreciate all the precision and features this lathe offers. Cannot ship to AK, CA, CT, HI, LA, MA, MD, MS and RI.
