This Flo 'N Go Maxflo siphon pump with 60in.L hose works with most plastic fuel cans as it pumps gas in any direction for easy, clean fill-ups. It features siphon control that allows auto shutoff and restarts. Provides a 2 GPM flow rate when used in siphon mode. EPA approved. This item is not for sale in the state of California. can this be used on a pool cover?

Details:

the water is murky with small vegetation particles
which clog a regular pump...if not what would you recommend?

Answers

This is not going to be the best way to remove the standing water and solids on your pool cover.

Although it is not as cost effective, I would recommend using a semi trash pump that we carry because they are capable of pumping solids such as small vegetation particles.

Yes, this will pump gas in any direction. You can siphon the old gas out and then pump fresh gas back in.

Yes if you attach a hose long enough to reach the bottom of the fuel tank. You must also be able to bypass the anti siphon feature of most cars.

This is a siphon and/or pump unit and would not require venting because the hole clearance would provide enough air for the pump or siphon mode to work.

Answers

This siphon and pump is designed to transfer fuel from a gas can to a gas tank. It is not designed to pump from a gas tank to a gas can.
We do carry an item which would work as it pumps gas in any direction. See below.

Siphon nozzel The siphon works great, I have no problem filling my lawn mower. My problem is the nozzel keeps breaking right as it comes out of the handle. I've gone through two so far, but it works great until it breaks. Put a little more strength in the nozzel and it will be great. May 12, 2013

Poor product. This product is supposed to alleviate the need for lifting the heavy 5 gal gas cans, however, the can has to be above the nozzles output level or it doesn't work. There is no pump mechanisim inside of this that will pump the gas from a lower level, ie: the ground. If I have to lift up the gas can then what's the point in buying this? October 2, 2011

Works... BUT ONE BIG ISSUE Your gas can MUST be higher than your gas tank.... Hard to hold a 5 gallon can higher than my lawn mower and work the pump...... If I could hold my 5 gallon can above my tank, why would I need this? A funnel would do the same. July 15, 2011

Very easy to use! I just fill up a big tank of gas, and when i need some for my mower and atv's, it's there. Using the handle is very easy. The only thing you have to make sure of is that the gas tank is raised higher than the one you are trying to fill. November 16, 2010
