Built to Last
I purchased this watering tractor about a year ago and I couldn't be happier. This lawn tractor is built like a tank which is really refreshing in this age of cheaply produced goods designed to break after a year of use.
It follows along the hose wherever you lay it out. You can adjust the rate of travel to suit your desired watering depth. You can even set it to shut itself off automatically at any point. What else could you want.

Great Sprinkler
Very solid construction. Easy to use. Sure beats having to constantly move traditional sprinkler heads arounf the yard!

Excellent
This great product requires some thought to have it work for your situation. You have many adjustments available to control the pattern, the speed, and coverage. The jet arms are adjustable allowing precise control over the distance covered, which also will affect speed as the higher and broader the sprinkler range, the slower the tractor will crawl since it is powered by the rotation of the sprinkler to a gearbox. It does not take long to figure out how to lay out the hose (the front wheel straddles and follows the hose) so that you can have the tractor drive exactly where you need water.
For new lawns, the loam tends to be soft so once wet the tractor will not have as much traction in the "mud" and can't pull as much hose. If you can configure the hose layout to have the tractor moving downhill, it will pull a lot more hose weight which means it will cover a lot more area. I have used this with a timer to water a complete new 25k ft2 lawn alternating from front to back hoses both about 150' long.
The type and diameter of the hose also affects the amount of hose it can pull since heavy duty hose full of water weighs a lot for a little 15 lb. tractor to pull. If the tractor gets stuck or bogged down, it will not reach the auto shutoff so the first time you use this should be on a day when you can keep an eye on it until you've confirmed you set it up correctly and it won't get stuck at a specific point.
I have used this tractor to water a new lawn, water an existing lawn, and when coupled with a timer, you can have it come on when you want and the auto shutoff will stop it when it gets to the last point which you set.
All in all, there is no sprinkler that will do what this does as simply and as effectively in my opinion. I've owned my tractor sprinkler for 25 years and they don't wear out.
Watching this water the flowers or lawn area you just worked on all day while you sit on the deck with an ice cold beer is a good way to finish a productive day of planting or putting in a new lawn.
Sick of tending and moving the sprinkler? Get one of these!

nelson sprinkler review
Has worked flawlessly. Easy to adjust and used many times during the Texas drought of 2011. It turns off automatically when it reaches the istop ramp included with the package.

Nifty features
It's not 100% metal, like they were when I was a kid, but I still like it. There are three settings: neutral, slow, and fast. Fast isn't very fast, and slow is very slow. Does a good job. It can only pull 100 ft. of hose before it loses traction. I love the auto-shut off feature.

Nelson traveling sprinkler
This sprinkler does an amazing job! I can set it up to water precisely where I want it to instead of wasting water on the driveway, neighbor's lawn etc. It waters very well and you can change speeds or coverage according to your needs. It is an outstanding product!

AMAZING
Does a great job of watering my lawn completely. Just set it up and let it go. My neighbors actually stop and watch it and are amused.
