Ohio Steel Lawn Tractor Lift, Model# TL4000
Light duty ONLY
This item useful for lifting smaller, lighter ZTRs only, NOT large mowers. I weigh 200 lbs and bench 325, but need serious help using this to lift my 60" Snapper ZTR. When I tried it on a 48" front-engine lawn tractor, the lift arms bent and collapsed. Despite its claim, it is NOT a professional/heavy duty product, but it can be handy for home use with light equipment.

Ohio Steel Tractor Lift
This does a good job on my 54" zero turn mower tractor. It takes a bit of strength - and finess - to lift the tractor an get the lift set properly, but once it is up, it provides a stable location for maintenance (cleaning) and repairs.
It would be better if the lift "hooks" could be adjusted while the tractor is up so they don't block part of the mower deck.

1 crew member to lift tractor
I bought this lift for the resort I work at and it has saved time and money. Instead of two guys lifting our tractor it only requires one and now I am confident that the blades will be maintained and the deck will be kept clean and free from grass clippings. Affordable and storable.

Lift with ease
If you own a lawn tractor this lift is a must have. Easy to assemble. I use it with my John Deere x304. Easy to lift and very stable. Great access to clean the deck and sharpen the blades without removing them.

It simply works.
I ordered this tractor lift because I needed a way to easily change the blades on my tractor and to clean grass clippings from under the deck. I tried regular automotive ramps but they were too long and I couldn't get under the tractor because the ramps got in the way. I tried pulling my tractor up on my loading ramps but faced a similar problem of the ramps getting in the way. After that, I started seraching online. I fould some plastic mower lifts that were basically tear-drop shaped blocks that you pull your tractor up on to and I considered buying them. Several reviews said it was challenging to get them to stay put while pulling the tractor up on them though so I did not purchase them (although they were cheap). That left me with three other types of true tractor lifts to evaluate, this one and two others. The two others, while the looked like they would work, they were way more expensive than this lift and they did not fold up so I could see storage being a problem. This lift did fold up so that was a plus but I had concerns about how high it would lift my tractor and how easy it would be to lift the tractor. I decided to take a chance and I ordered this unit. I also ordered a "regular" tubular bumper form my tractor manufacturer to use with this lift. I'm happy to report that this lift works great. Ii is adjustable as far as the total lift height, I have it set at the highest point and it gives me good clearance to get in and change the blades or inspect and clean the underside of the deck. Lifting the tractor is fairly easy and best of all, it's quick. I can have my tractor up in just a few seconds, which is great if all I'm doing is cleaning the deck. I did not think of this when I was evaluating all of the tractor lift options, but the other lifts with a crank, while I'm sure they would lift a tractor very easily, I doubt they would be very fast. Over-all I'm very satisfied with this product and I'm confident that it is the best product on the market to simply lift your tractor. Also, it works very well with the OEM bumper on my John Deere X304 tractor.
