Cedar/Fir Adirondack Chair
not even two weeks chairs started to break, wood is too soft, screws don't hold well, nuts and bolts loosen

Wood is ready for ant finish and is great for outdoor weather.

These chairs are excellent. I put them together myself (which speaks to the ease of assembly since my husband usually does this type of thing) and applied Thompson Water Seal, cedar color. They are beautiful around the fire pit and look a lot more expensive than they are. They're also very comfortable. Would buy them again in a heartbeat if I needed more.

good chair for the price
Mine were well packed, with no damages or cracks. Stained/sealed it all before putting it together. Wood was actually better than I expected from reading previous reviews. It is not heavy duty, but functional.

The wood is very soft and not very durable. Most people use these outside and I would not feel comfortable using these outdoors. I was planning on painting them with exterior paint but once I pulled the pieces out of the box I was disappointed. I expected a much more sturdy chair. I put it together anyway just to see how it looked/felt. It was easy to put together but still not very strong. There was also already a crack in one of the arms when I pulled it out of the box. I'll be returning all 4 of these. Also, once put together, these are bit smaller than the average adirondack chairs I've seen.

Comfortable chair and easy to build
I bought 4 of these chairs after my old adirondacks finally fell apart. Easy to put together. I suggest you stain and finish them BEFORE assembly, as I learned the hard way with the first one. It's hard to get the stain into the cracks after they've been assembled. Made of a nice furniture grade wood. Very minimal sanding needed. I ended up staining mine in gunstock and using a spray sealer. That was over a year ago and they still look great.

Cedar Adirondack Chair
The chair looks great & is very comfortable. It was simple to put together. It looks as good as many I have seen for three times the price. I would highly recommend these chairs

I found this Adirondack chair perfect for my needs because it was easy to assemble, lightweight and had a flat back so I could paint on it. I am an artist who was looking for a chair that I could stain as an art project. I have found flat back Adirondack chairs only at Northern Tool. The price was great for the quality. I was looking for cedar and something that I could put together and take apart to ship easily. This chair is comfortable also. See my picture of the chair I created from staining a lake scene on it.

This is an excellent chair for the money. It is not a thick wood Adirondack from the north, but I really appreciate the value. I have a lot of space to fill and the chair is fairly sturdy. It is easy to screw together. I plan to get more of these, as well as the high adirondack.

Good for the price
The first thing you notice is how light it is. This is an inexpensive, lightweight chair. It's also small but not overly so. You won't be able to curl up in it. I found that model# KMGY1101 is more comfortable as the back is at a better angle. It's not poorly made but don't expect much beyond the basics; all holes line up (except two on the support bar), all hardware was there and the instructions were both easy to understand and simple. It comes semi-assembled — the back and the seat sections are pre-assembled. I finished mine with a clear preservative that brought out the wood detail. Overall, it's probably worth what I paid for it but I'd make my own next time.
