Driveway announcer,

"I had three other driveway announcers over the years and could not find one in an acceptable price range that worked good. They were either very expensive and the guarantee ran out just before they gave out, or they were so cheap I was ashamed to buy them and they never worked past a week. This is a pretty good deal for the price. Saw it at a friend's farm shop. I kept hearing this beep every now and then during harvest and finally asked about it. It worked great from about 275'. So now mine does as well and I live back off main road so I need to know when someone is coming around. Just put in batteries, hang the sender at the entrance, and plug in the beeper anywhere you need notification. Also tells me when my son is coming in late!"

chamberlan takes 2 steps BACK,

"Chamberlans old driveway alarm was the RWA-300R it worked great. could be heard 100' away and had a relay switch to connect an external light or bell. It's no longer produced or avalable ANYWHERE.
This replacement the CWA-2000 has an adjustable electronic peeper which at it's max setting can be hear 15' if I am faceing it. It is an extremily high tone, and has no external connection for another light or bell, and I rate it almost useless, unless you are going to sit beside it.
Not sutiable for "Down on the Farm""

"Nice feature is volume control but at the loudest it's no better than a squeaky door. I have it in another room and it's to soft to hear. A/C powered receiver picks up transmission better than the other battery powered one I tried."

Cant Hear the Alert,

"This system replaces a similar Chamberlain system I had for years that worked REALLY well. When they "improved" it they virtually killed it's usefulness as far as being able to hear the alert. It's VERY brief and has no volume. Unless you have the receiver right next to you with no other noise you won't hear the alarm. Too bad they improved a really good system."

"Have sensor set up in the trees at the begining of my driveway 250 feet from the base unit. This unit is very sensitive to movement so it took time to get the aim right so it didn't go off from trucks passing on the road. Only down side is the base unit isn't as loud as I would like."

"I use this at my business, invaluable for giving me a heads up of customers. I have also realized the added advantage of security after hours; knowing when someone walks in or drives into my entrance.
It takes a little trail and error to find the best location and to adjust the aim. But with patience it works beautifully.
I have purchased additional monitors (up to 4 can be added, with different chimes) so that I can know when someone enters the property or shop area and what area they have come in from. This also takes patience and thought for the best locations and aim."

"I have my unit setup about 500 ft away, just out of "line-of-site" and the unit works great. It picks up cars, deer, turkeys, dogs, and mothers-in-law."
