On #2
So far I have had two. The problem is after a year or so the unit quits detecting anything. Of course I changed the batteries. The symptoms are when you wave you hand over the sensor, occasionally it will flash oncee, but if you walk away and try again, it will not flash no matter how many times you re-approach the device and wave.your hand in front of it. Also occasionally, when you put your hand on the battery compartment if will flash, but not always. The same thing happened on the previous one. I suspect there is a chip inside the device that last a year or so and then you have to go and by a new one.

peace of mind
I was a little scepticle at first, but after setting up the sensors and fine tuning the direction and angle, I couldn't be more happy. It instantly lets me know if someone gets close to my house and I can be at the door before they get there. It will pick up the occasional dog or rabbit but a little adjustment should stop that.

Don't Bother
Very disapointed with this product for the price. I tryied different setting with not much different results. Sending unit will only work if you do a little dance in front of it. (Should I post a sign?)
Do people a service and post this.

Good but sun light limitations
I purchased receiver and 8 transmitters a year ago. They have worked well with original set of batteries since that time. The transmitters will “false” constantly when facing into direct sunlight, even with the provided shield. I had to mount all of mine facing north or NW, NE. The mounting hardware is a little cheap, the nut that holds the pivot ball had started to rust after a few months. Overall however, the system is effective. I receive an audible alert for my gate over 800’ away and can track the progress of the critter, usually a cat or a deer, coming up the drive with various locations differentiated by the number of beeps.

Works every time.
Was very surprised to see how well this works. We have the sensor set up about 1000 Ft from the receiver and about 100 ft in elevation below the receiver. It has been in operation with out incident for just over a year. I used lithium battery's, and have not changed them yet. We see temps to 0 degrees from time to time. I am back to purchase another sensor, and thought I would share my success with this product.

poor product
Installed this product and it worked pretty good although animals did set off alarm. Batteries lasted for about 4 months. Replaced batteries and lasted another 4 months. Unit begain continuous alarm and then failed altogether right about at then of the warrenty. Not too bad if you want to buy a new one every year.

Couldn't make this work consistently
I placed it as directed and modified its position several times but it repeately failed to respond to cars on the driveway, although it did better with foot traffic. I finally gave up on this motion sensor because I could not rely it. Save your money and look for something else.

MotionSensor
We have found this sensor usefull in notifing us of incoming visitors before they are at the door. I did have to move it a few times in order to get reception. At this time, it is working up to our expectations. It is located at about 200 feet from the reciever. We live in the country type setting and it lets us know of any activity in the driveway. Even deer and people walking on the driveway trip the sensor. Would recommend this unit, but be prepared to adjust the location of the sending unit
