A home garage essential The charger is neatly packaged and extremely easy to use by even those less adept to charging systems. the product has: -simple and verifyable connection system -simple selection of battery type -offers from jump start to trickle charge. All in a neat non-corrosion package which is easily portable, I would highly recommend this charger. August 13, 2012

quit working It stopped working in less then two years. When it did work it did not work well charging 6v batters. It would often switch to 12v mode when charging a 6v batter. I wish I would have returned it, to late now though. It is also very very loud. February 1, 2012

Great Charger This is probably one of the most versatile battery charger I've ever owned. Not only does it do 12 volt batteries, it also will charge 6 volt batteries. This feature has come in handy since I have several antiques that use 6 volt batteries. The only minus I can say about this item is the cable storage posts on the back of the charger could be a bit more robust. If you wrap the cables too tightly around the post they have a tendency to pop out of the back of the charger. Other than that it's a great unit and I would recommend highly. March 14, 2011

Great product! The use of this charger is very easy. Just connect the clamps to the battery, and plug it in. Pick the type of battery and the size and let it do its thing. The battery charge percent feature was helpful. I had a dead battery in my truck this weekend and the gauge showed it only had a 15% charge. When I jumped it using this box my truck started right up. The alternator charge percent feature came in handy too. Once my truck was running, I was able to see if my alternator was putting out a good charge to my battery. I had an estimated 100% estimated charge coming from my alternator. Now I know that if my battery dies again, my battery is bad and not my alternator. The connection wires are nice and long, so cable length is not an issue when connecting it to your vehicle. The only thing to improve this product would be a more clearly defined battery size selector. Selecting the correct battery to charge can be confusing. You select small battery to charge a garden tractor, atv, etc.. You select a large battery to charge a car or truck. You have to keep your book handy if you don't know what your battery qualifies as. The buttons could be clearer when selecting what you are charging. Overall, It did the job for me and works as expected.. Great product! March 14, 2011

Schumacher Speed Charger Just connect the connections to a battery, select voltage, plug it into the electrical power outlet, and you are ready to charge any battery. It gives me a great full and a fast charge to a battery when I needed to use a battery at a less time, and it does not need my full attention since it is automatic and will eventually taper off on its charge when the battery fully charged. But it is not so great when I cannot take it with me to such places where there is no electricity available such as to the camps without portable power generators. August 23, 2010

21st Century Charger Pros: Charger is excellent for charging the various types of batteries I need for my mobile business. Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) rates of charge are spot on. Most chargers do not have this setting, and the appropriate algorithm that is required for AGM batteries. Have used it numerous cycles on my deep cycle batteries for the past 2 months with no issues. Very user friendly. 5stars in my book! Cons: None. August 23, 2010

Schumacher Speed Charger This charger is excellent. It is very easy to use. Having the option to see the charge the battery has during the charging process makes it easy to see how long it will take to charge. It will also do a speed charge if you need it and it really works. It is very portable with a small package, handle and good length of cables for quick hookup. I am glad my old charger died so I needed to buy a new one, the Schumacher. Friends have been impressed with the charger and commented on nice features. It is great to set the charger and come back to see the battery registering 100% charge and know it is truly ready to disconnect. My old unit did not do this. I do reccomend this highly. best charger I love the fact this charger auto detects the various types of batteries on the market today; Agm, standard, gel cell or 6 volt. in addition you can select battery size and there is auto shut off feature to avoid battery damage. Its fast and can plug into the wall to jump a completely dead battery. Plus you can run diagnostics on the charging system or the battery with this unit, truly one one the best units i have purchased and a 5 year guarantee. June 1, 2010
