Not for the weak of wrist!,

"I finally did it! I killed my Craftsman circular saw!
Admittedly, I was doing something that I knew I shouldn't
have- cutting wet wood. This is a bozo no-no that will kill any standard circular saw. This is not your standard
circular saw! This is a wormdrive saw that generates alot
more torque than a standard circular saw.

This saw is a heavyweight at 15 pounds, and the blade is on the left,as is the case on most other worm drive saws. The Makita has a sealed oil bath system, so unlike a skill or bosch saw, you don't have to check and add gear lube.

I would have prefered that
it come with a tool bag or case. It also came with a blade
changing wrench and a cutting guide. The saw is finished
in the familiar makita Blue the handle has a nice rubber
overmold grip for comfort.

At 15 amps, this saw definetly has the power to handle any type of wood, concrete or metal cutting task. The saw comes fitted with a premium Blue Maks blade to get you started. The base plate is thick enough to resist warping and is suposedly chemically treated to resist rust and corrosion.

Like other reviewers, I own a few other Makita tools
and am always pleased with the performance and value.

This saw proved its worth in cutting pavers for a patio project. Using a dry cut diamond blade, the saw cut the pavers quickly and without complaint."
