I used it with a 20 lb tank with no problems. If you live in an exceptionally cold place and plan to use it for prolonged periods on the highest setting, you may want to consider a 100 lb tank or larger.

These heaters do not have exact temperature settings. The smaller ones have a high and low setting and the larger have a high, medium and low setting. They do have a built in thermostat so when the temperature reaches a certain level the heater will kick off. Then back on when it falls below.

Absolutely you can. The automatic thermostat starts and stops it as needed. Since this model does not have a built-in circulating fan, you can increase the efficiency by running a small fan in the area to increase circulation. I use a 5 in. silent computer cooling fan and it works GREAT!

You cannot set the unit to maintain a temperature. There is an adjustable knob that allows you to control when the main burner will cycle on and off. You will have to use trial and error to find the setting that will allow you to maintain your desired indoor temperature depending on outdoor air temperature.

No vent required. 99.9% efficient design does not need to be vented. Has built-in oxygen depletion sensor for safety. As a certified building inspector, I have checked mine several times with a digital carbon monoxide tester. It always reads "0". Very safe.

No, the unit will not work properly at 9000 ft. The low air density at this altitude will cause the burner/pilot to operate extremely rich and at a very low efficiency. Most likely, the burner/pilot will go out or will operate while producing elevated levels of unwanted by-products such as CO.

Yes, the unit can be either used with LP or Natural Gas. There are two female 3/8 NPT ports on the bottom of the unit, one for LP and one for NG. The unit comes shipped ready for LP. You need to take off a protective cover on the bottom of the unit, turn a switch, and connect the NG source.

It does not matter what wall you mount this heater to. It is a vent free heater so this the wall is not a concern. The only concern is the vicinity of combustables. See the owner's manual for these measurements.

heater Used the heater in my 33 ft. Fifth Wheel trailer. The temperature outside on the first night was -5 and the inside temp maintained 55 on med setting. Once the temp outside came up the inside temp maintained at 65. Was pleased at the performance of the heater. It cycled on and off as necessary to maintain the temp. Money savers These are great. Purchased 2 for the bedrooms, and they work great. The only draw back is the flickering noise that the pilot flame makes, you have to get use to it. pro com blue flame heater I installed this heater in my 30 ft travel trailer to use in the winter for steelhead fishing. I wanted to heat the trailer without using battery power because we dont have electrical service down this river. I didnt want start a generator every day. The heater has worked very well in temps down to 0 F. It will create a lot of moistuer inside the trailer so you do need to ventilate and keep the walls dry. I have been very satisfied with the product. August 13, 2012

Great Little Heater Excellent small room heater. I use it in a 400sf. well insulated room and it's very good. Temps here run around 20 deg outside so it's not real cold but I never need to run it more than 1/4 open. Thermostat is nice but it could use a small fan and it would be even better. Great little heater Bought this to heat a small area beneath my mountain cabin to keep the water heater and pump from freezing up in winter months. I don't need much heat and wanted something that uses very little fuel (which I haul). Area being heated is enclosed only by tarps so far but is inside crawl space. I only run the heater at night since the demand water heater runs enough during the day to prevent freeze-ups. This works great, keeping my water works area at about 40 F when the outside air is about 20 F. I've only roughly measured fuel consumption, but it is low. I expect a 20 lb tank to last about 4 nights. January 9, 2012
