"Got this pump because I live beside a creek and wanted to water my garden with it. Placed the pump 10 feet away from the creek and ran a garden hose 75' to a sprinkler in the middle of the garden. Does great and reaches everything in garden. Garden is 60' X 30'. Hope this helps any one else. First water pump I have bought and I am very impressed after 5 or so uses. Easy to start. Comes with pretty good instructions."

"I use this pump to water a veggie garden from a small creek it pumps water 150 ft with very good flow under half throttle. A few things I would change is include a adaptor to go from the pump threads to npt threads and a quitter muffler."

just what i was looking for,

"i was looking to replace an old gas driven waterpump at our cottage and i have been taking my time looking for a quality pump at a fair price,usually price equates quality!But in this case this little pump that i purchased on sale ,exceeds the price!i have only had the pump for a few weeks now ,so i cannot comment on reliability yet,however the workmanship and quality is there .The pump is lite and powerful,it is replacing a 5 hp fourstroke clearwater pump,and ill tell you the little 2 stroke <all tho a little louder>out pumps our bigger 5hp,most likely ordering another one for my dad,<he wants mine>"

"I bought 2 of these pumps. One works excellent, the other will not stay primed and it it very difficult to keep primed. The rubber diaphram inside does not work very well. I just gave up using it. The one that works, works very well. I like the amount of pressure it produces. I would recommend it for a friend, but with caution. If it has issues from the start, return it. Get a different one."

Northern Brand Pump- "The Bomb"!!!,

"I bought the Northern Brand Gas Powered Pump to supply water on a "Slider" Wakeboard Ramp that we anchor out in the lake to perform tricks on. There are 6 1/4" spray heads plumbed in with 3/4" pvc.The pump delivers more than adequate water while IDLING ! We are able to use it for 1 1/2 hours on a tank of fuel. Starts the first time, runs quiet, no smoke. Used the Northern Quick Couplings (for the suction side and pressure side), to make it portable. My son and his friends can't wait till next summer!"

Mighty little pump for the price!!,

"I recently bought this pump and was impressed with how well it has worked since the first day I used it. The pump is very simple to use and it starts with no problem. I use it to pump water from an 12 foot deep well to a tank located in a 14 foot tower; until now I've had no problems. The only disadvantage I see with this pump is that that there are no spare parts available ."

is this pump strong enough to run a sprinkler for a garden?

This pump is supplying 1585 gallons per hour which is about 3 times the flow of a normal water faucet. However, if it were to be used as a sprinkler pump it would have to be adapted to 3/4 or 5/8" hose. Restricting the output on this pump that much may result in an extremely short service life and is not recommended.
