Superwinch and zero turn mower,

"I needed a winch to mount to the front of my zero turn mower - tired of getting stuck when mowing difficult areas during the spring rainy season- The superwinch works great for this application since the mower and an ATV are about the same weight. electrical hookup was simple using the included parts. just had to fabricate a mounting plate to mount the winch proper. Works great."

"if you want a winch for looks, or light work- - maybe a few times a year this will work. ive gone through 3 winchs on my rhino and finally decided to get a warn. if i was smart, i could have saved myself a lot of time and money getting a better one from the begining.

"I was hesitant to purchase this winch because of the great price. I was incredibly surprised by the quality and power and for the price, I can buy two of these winches. Simple to install, but I had to fabricate my own mounting plate because I couldn't find one for a Bombardier Outlander 4x4. The switch works great, but is a little hard to push if you're wearing heavy gloves in the winter. The cable from the winch to the battery could be a little longer, but all-in-all I'm very pleased."

"This is a fabulous kit with everything you need other than the mounting plate. Lots of extras like the snatch block, fairlead, etc. I put this on my 2008 Yamaha Big Bear. Very easy to install.
I've pulled my friends out of many mud holes with this, without any problems. I also use it in the winter with my plow.
Superwinch support has also been great. The knob for the free-wheel release vibrated off about 6 months after I got it. I emailed support to see how I get a replacement. They sent me a replacement knob free."

"I built a plow to fit my 91 S10 blazer i was going to go all hydraulic on it but i have one of these winches on my quad and as well as it worked on the bike i thought i might try it on the plow. A great product!!!!!!!! I pushed snow all winter with this S10 that is all i use it for and i would say that i lowered and lifted the plow( around 400lb ) more than a thousand times and no problem at all. this winch is worth the price all day long and i must say i have not found it for less money than Northern Tool."

Just wrecked my 2nd superwinch,

"I bought a ATV that came equiped with a super winch with 2000lb capacity. It worked great the first few times i used it but the first time i really needed it when i was stuck good... The Guide plate became kinked in the cable and broke off. I did not misuse the winch i never wound it without atleast a small load on it to keep the line Tight. I was happy with the performance of the winch and i was very happy with the price i found of a similar replacement so i purchased this Product. Installed it in about 15 minutes and once again the motor worked great. But the same thing happened, the Guide plate broke off and the cable broke off the Frespool cluch. The cable just doesnt seem to want to stay spooled. and yes i was using a Roller fairlead. I will be spending the extra money for a Warn winch in the future. I am not happy with this product. I would recomend this winch for light use however. You cannot beat the price, and it does work. Just need to watch the cable carefully and when your stuck in a mudhole holding up the ride.... I dont want to have to babysit the cable.
