"This is nice and I would have given it 5 stars if they would have made the jack come off with a pin instead of nylock nuts. It would be handy to take it off to roll poles easier.
That being said it work great when used how it was designed to be used. With the long LARGE handle you can easily twist a pole when setting it or lift a log up off the ground to cut into firewood. No worries about breaking the handle when you really lean into it. Should give many years of service."

"Since adding an outdoor furnace to my house, I've needed a steady supply of firewood. This is one tool that I've found is necessary to keep the chainsaw from binding or digging the chainsaw into the ground. This is a simple, and heavy duty tool. I have no fear of bending or breaking the bar. Handles logs as advertised. Only difficulty encountered has been when fulcrum foot has sunk or dug into the ground when the ground is soft. Not really a problem with the tool though. I use it often and would highly recommend it to anyone who frequently cuts downed trees."

"This is a quality built product at a fair price! I bought a tri-axle truck load of firewood "poles" and this was very helpful. I anticipate using it in the woods later this year with the "lift" feature to save chainsaw sharpening."

"When I considered getting a timberjack I wasn't sure about one with a fiberglass handle but the positive reviews sold me on it and I have to agree. The handle is longer than the wooden handled versions I have used before which translates into greater leverage. The whole unit is heavier and more solid than I expected and the price was excellent."

"One of my "recreational" things to do is harvesting fallen trees on our 20 acre property for firewood. Since much of the land is hilly and undeveloped (ie, no roads, only trails), the work is labor and person (non vehicle) intense, so any tool that helps the process is very welcome. I use a chain saw and split with a "go-devil" but have often run into the challenge of getting the logs into a safe and effective position for cutting without either getting hung up or digging into the dirt with the chainsaw,
So i decided to go for a timberjack and reviewed and researched several.
I chose the Northern Tool version after reading all the reviews for the products you offer.
It came quickly and is as described. It is REALLY SOLID, and easily assembled.
In use, it holds up to serious efforts and I am not worried that it will break. (I had an old wooded handled version that broke in one of my more challenging encounters wit a BIG fallen log.)
It sits solidly but you need to pay attention to doing that smartly and not just quickly.
The only down side so far is its weight, which is also one of its pluses. As a 5 ft.2in , 110 lb 63 yr old woman I really can't tote it all in one trip.This means I need to make two trips to my work site: one for the timberjack and one for the chain saw and its accompaniments.
But it is proving worth the effort, and i only take it when I have judged it necessary.
I would definitely recommend this item for anyone wanting a solid, useful and reasonably priced tool."

"I used this toll for the first time this weeked. I started off small and worked up to a 24ft long 26" oak. It took me having to put all my weight (215lbs) on top of the handle to roll it over, and the tool performed perfectly. This is a heavy duty hand tool. If you need to do more than that, hire someone."
