good product, but
this is a good cement mixer. but there are some problems
1- the instruction manual is hard to follow
2- the screws and bolts provided to assemble are the lowest quality i have ever seen
3- the set screw on the driven pulley cannot be tightened,it works loose ever few minutes
if they would supply better fasteners they would have a winner.

4.1 Cubic Ft. Concrete Mixer-Great Litte Mixer
Bought this mixer to build a stem wall and footings for our cabin in Alpine Arizona...It saved me a great deal of money on renting a mixer/fuel...I assembled unit prior to going to our cabin...Instructions were easy to follow...We hauled it there in our trailer and left it...Over a period of 3 different trips totaling about (8) days of working 8 hrs a day...my Wife and I Mixed (5) 60lb bags of premix concrete at a time, to complete 152' of footing,12" wide x 16" deep... Mixed (5)-60 lb bags of mortar at a time to build 2' high x 152' of stem wall with 6" x 8" x 16" cmu...Solid grouted whole stem wall...Also used mixer to mix concrete for (14) 12" round x 3' deep footings for posts for wrap around porches at cabin...I kept the belt tight, checked motor and pulleys every few hours...of course took a break every now and then...I also ran a seperate circuit to run the mixer...It was a total work horse...The motor got warm...but never tripped its breaker...I still use it for small projects at our cabin...It was a great investment for the price...

More Problems than Quality--Electric Motor is junk
I drove 150 miles, round trip, to San Antonio to buy a CM305 concrete mixer. Problems and recommendations:
*poor assembly instructions/manual
*needs grease zerts on tub pivot
*lift handles need to be 6" longer on each side
*larger tires would make movement/rolling easier
*the electric motor quit after doing work required for ONLY 6 fence post holes. Yes, I was using a 12 gauge extension cord hooked up to a 10,000 watt generator.
It looks like I have 2 choices: drive 150 miles, round-trip, to San Antonio and exchange electric motors OR buy a quality, half-HP motor locally. Of course, the Chinese motor has no label providing specs.
I would NOT recommend this unit.

Excellent Once Put Together
It works exceptionaly well for the price and handles 120lbs of dry product easily as designed. It is pretty quiet as well as mixers go and I have used it on several projects and really like the time it saves me in mixing. Can mix two standard bags of concrete in about 10 minutes. Only reason for 4 starts is that it is a bit of a stretch to put it together and if you don't have any mechanical expertise (I am glad I do) then you will likely need someone that knows how to read between the lines as the instructions are quite ambiguous in some areas. Takes two to put it together properly once you get to the drum part for proper alignment. Not a big deal and not heavy work.

We ran 400+ bags through this puppy & only problem was that the drive belt came loose 5 or 6 times.
Came with good (English only) instructions--- which was like a breath of fresh air for one who is totally turned off by products that include 45 pages of foreign language instructions.
If you happen to have a few walnut trees, this mixer will eliminate the nastiest part of processing the nuts. Toss a bushel or so in the mixer a let it run for 20 minutes. Takes the hulls right off.

A Disappointing Tool
Quality of welds, fabrication and individual parts are poor. Pulley comes off the main shaft regardless of how tight the set screw is applied. During use it walks and shakes unacceptably. It is well below Northern Tool standards.

Relatively easy to install, however after using for 3 months mixer didn't hold up well. Some of the Bolts holding mixer paddles ended up breaking and eventually the aluminum drum got stripped by the driving steel teeth. For 3 months I got my monies worth but expected more. Wouldn't recommend if you have a lot of work...if you don't have a lot of work I'd recommend going with plastic drum and different drive mechanism.
