Can this be converted to work on natural gas?

The unit can not be converted over to natural gas. it operates on propane only.

I don't think so. A 20 lb propane tank sits on it, kind of anchors it down. As it does not need electricity to run there is no connection to your house. A gas line would be counter productive. As this is a "trap" you place away from where you are. It draws the bugs away from you.

Skeeter Vac does a great job! We recently purchased a home on 6 acres in the Pocono Mountains. Our first summer we barely spent anytime outdoors because the mosquitos, gnats, flies and no-see-ums were unbelievable. We purchased this device despite the high price tag. The literature states it may take 3 weeks to notice a decrease in insect population. NOT SO!!! The day after we started the Skeeter Vac about 150-200 feet from our home, we were painting the deck outside all day in blistering heat- neither of us were bitten at all!! The sticky paper lure on the outside even caught a couple of small birds (we found feathers stuck to the device). It does a fantastic job of clearing biting insects from a large area, a standard propane tank runs the Vac continuously for 14-16 days, and the lure lasts 2 months. We had our wedding last weekend at poolside without the annoyance of flying pests. Great product! August 19, 2008

Skeetervac SV5100 We have had this model about a month now and it works great! We have a lot less mosquitoes now, mosquitoes love me and I noticed right away that I was being bothered a lot less. We sometimes have to give the fan blade a nudge to get the vacuum going but other than that it's fine. The mosquitoes swarm around it before the fan even starts, they are so attracted to it. skeetervac 1.2 acre I have last year's model (2007) of the Skeeter Vac 1.2 acre unit that I use on a horse farm. Observations: - 20lb LP tank lasts only about 20 days ( 2 full turns of tank reg valve ) making this unit expensive to run. - scent packs and sticky paper are outragiously priced, but do last a couple of months - sticky paper is poorly made and you need extra tape to secure it together onto the unit - it kils lots of bugs of all kinds. my main problem is with gnats and flys, not mosquitos. However I can't tell if it's interrupting breeding of these insects like it would for mosquitos because I still have alot of gnats and flys around. - very nice feature by not requiring electrical plug in...
