"I bought this pump for Methanol it has worked great , the only thing that I can find wrong is that if I pump it to fast I get a slight leak at the top of the neck. But I must confess that I have done a little modifying to the pump that is why I still give it five stars."

What is the size of the fitting on the top of the pump?

Details:

If I purchase this pump, I would want to rig it with a filter and a hose. From the picture, it looks like I would have to remove the pipe from the top of the pump and install a street ell and nipple to connect the filter. If I knew the size of the fitting on the top of the pump, it would be easier to plan out the rest of the system.

Answers

The fitting at the top of the pump is one inch straight thread, it might be difficult to find a fitting because this pump is imported from Taiwan and does not have a common NPT (National Pipe Thread).

You might try using a hose barb and Teflon sealer to prevent leaking.
