"I purchased this drill to drill 2" holes for a timber frame project. Many of the holes are 45 degree angles which seems to be harder on the drills. I had already burned up a heavy duty Black and Decker drill. This drill has not given me a problem and has plenty of power. The depth gauge is very handy and does not get in the way. This is a well made drill."

"I purchased this mainly to use just as a normal drill (not in hammer mode) and I think it would be worth the price even it it didn't have the hammer feature. The two speed feature is useful for when you need more torque or speed and switching back and forth is easy. Being able to reverse directions is also useful in certain situations."
