works great
at first I thought this ax was a bit heavy but now realize why you want it this way, the weight helps cut even the hardest wood, this is a fine ax and I am very happy with the purchase. Very study, this one will last forever.

Good axe
This is a good axe for basic work. I use it to split the smaller pieces of firewood that I've already split with my Roughneck 6-Lb. Maul (which is great, by the way). I wouldn't use it for sustained periods of time as the fiberglass handle is a bit bouncy and vibrates more that a wooden handle; but don't get me wrong, this is a very durable tool and will serve you well.

nice axe
light weight, easy to use and tough. Lives up to its name!

Well made, a little light
Perhaps it is unfair to say this is a light duty axe as the weight is clearly advertized. My point is that you'd probably want something heavier to chop down a tree and something even lighter as a hatchet. This fits in the middle and I have found it more useful for whacking at roots than for serious tree work. Still, it is well made and is comfortable to use. No regrets.

rocknbilly
This is the perfect ax, it did the job, nice to handle and easy on the hands. Even the wife found it great to work with. Will purchase again if ever needed.
