"I purchased this air hose reel for my business which is a Mobile Automotive/Equipment Repair Service. I have the reel permanently mounted (welded) in the company van right next to the air compressor. This hose reel came complete, and assembled unlike some others I have purchased. Due to the nature of my business most of my equipment takes alot of abuse. This hose reel has been excellent and has given me Zero trouble since installed. (about 1 year ago). The hose it comes with appears to be excellent quality and has held up equally well. The mechanism allows for plenty of (stopping points) in order to get just the amout of hose needed for the job. The spring rewind has excellent tension and rolls the hose with no problem. All in all I really have no complaints on this hose reel and would recommend to anyone. I have used this product heavily on a daily basis and have had no problems. The price also seems to be one of the best I have found for a unit of this quality."

Hose-reel used on 55-gallon sprayer.,

"I bought this hose-reel to use on my heavily modified FIMCO three-point-hitch sprayer to replace the handgun's OEM hose hanger capable of only holding 25' of hose.

I would have preferred a Reelcraft hose-reel; but chose this for the price in case the reel didn't like having herbicides/pesticides run through it. That way I wouldn't be out much money if it failed from chemical exposure; though I clean out the sprayer with neutralizing chemicals.

So far, so good. The hose-reel has made my spraying life easier, and the 50' of PVC hose holds up to sunlight far better than the agricultural sprayer hose that came with the sprayer. The only downside to date is the shiny red paint has severely faded; but I doubt this hose-reel was meant to be stored outside."

"For the price, I just had to try it. I have a small shop, but I needed something to take care of my air hose, so I ordered it. I was impressed wiih the construction of it very well built and great for a small shop. It work fine except for, sometimes it binds on the rewind, but east to adjust.. For the price it is a no-brainer. I class it as a great buy."

"I would call this unit an entry level hose reel. Fully functional for the price - biggest negative is the PVC hose. It "sticks" to itself on the rewind and bunches up in the middle, causing it to bind and not completely roll up. I WD-40'd the length of hose and that helps for awhile. I will be changing out the hose to rubber and I believe that will eliminate my complaints.

I would still recommend this reel for the cost conscious, but mount it where you can reach it and help the rewind process by guiding the hose with your hand on the way back."

Great for the money,

"I purchased this retractable hose reel in December for my home shop. I mounted it to the ceiling of the shop and ran pipe from the reel to my compressor located in an outdoor closet. Mounting it was quick and easy, but I agree with another reviewer that they should have provided the hardware. The casing appears to be strong and stable. It works as described and is quite convenient, especially since I leave my compressor connected to it all the time. The stop mechanism allows for plenty of stopping points and the spring rewind has excellent tension to rewind the hose without any trouble. I have never retracted it all the way so I don’t know if there is an issue with rewinding it. I would definitely recommend this reel to another purchaser."

"The reel is excellent but the hose is cheap PVC and binds when rolling up, this causes it to snag and either lock the reel or come off the side, a better quality or material type hose has to be used to make this product worthwhile."

"I have had 2 of these and both have failed. second was a warranty swap from the first. Problem is that if you run hose to full extension, the spring recoil fails and hose will not retract and I can find no way of fixing it. If you have one ,don't pull the hose past 3/4 extension and you will be OK."
