The spray tip (where the paint comes out) sometimes becomes either partially or fully plugged. The tip may be reversed by turning the side handle in the reverse direction to unplug the tip. Caution:The tip should only be reversed when there is no pressure at the tip and is pointed into a container before squeezing the trigger.

This paint sprayer is not designed to spray lacquer. An HVLP (high volume low pressure) system will spray lacquer. Please look below for our product recommendation.

Answers

The maximum tip size that sprayer can support is a .015. If the manufacture of the paint recommends a tip size of .015 or smaller that sprayer will work with your application. If the manufacture of the paint recommend a tip size larger then a .015 I would not recommend it though that sprayer.

That would depend on the particular paint itself. This model can handle at largest a .015" spray tip. Check with the manufacturer of your paint and see if they'll give you a recommendation for a tip size to use with their paint, they might already have this information on the back of the can. If their recommendation is for a .015" spray tip or smaller, then the 770 should be able to spray it.

Works Quite Well I purchased one of these a couple of years ago. I thought it worked very good. Cleanup took a lot of time but was to be expected. Only thing I did not like was that I had to keep filling the hopper. I thought that the next time I would buy a unit with a hose for a 5 gallon pail. Also, it would have been very helpful if I had purchased a swiveling gun. It became difficult to unkink my hose at times while working on a ladder. Again, I was quite pleased with the unit. I painted a 1,500 sq. foot house's exterior with it...including primer coat. I was painting old metal siding. December 31, 2012

Nice unit for the cost Sprayer was purchased for painting a board fence. It did a great job with no issues. This would also be very handy for doing large painting jobs where the roller attachment is used. January 9, 2012

Great home painting product This airless spray painter is perfect for the home DIY'er. The instructions are easy to understand (and important to follow) and the unit responds to a little TLC. Our first project was painting the outside fence, and it performed flawlessly. Seven gallons and several hours later, done! What a time saver Stain/preserveing my deck used to take up to 2 1/2 days. With the Wagner, that time is down to several hours. Light weight and clean up is fairly simple. The one complaint is on the hose, it lacks a swivel at either end. Hose gets twisted and hard to direct in a different direction or turning to reach different surfaces. Other than a lack of a swivel on the hose, this is a real time saver, August 13, 2008
