This is the first 1/4 die grinder that I purchased.The price was right and since useage would be limited I gave it a shot,I was in error. The 90 degree gearing at the head came loose and chewed everything up within a couple hours of use. I had the receipt and they replaced it no problem.The replacement has done the same thing. I will now be taking #2 back and asking for a refund and applying that money towards an ingersoll rand which I shouild have purchased to begin with... you get what you pay for.On a bright note Northern has always been there to back up their tools,something worth taking into consideration especially these days!

the one that failed
i work in maintenance so i use the die grinder very frequently cleaning gasket surfaces and iv had this one for about a year and it ran like a champ until one day i got it out and it just didnt have it anymore. i figured it lived a good life and have ordered another one. would def recommend to others for quality and price.

Detailed grinding work.
Used on auto restoration for fine detailed grinding. It works as intended. Only had it a couple of months, but no problem so far.

Nice for the price
Wanted an angle grinder for some time but for the limited use I'd give it just couldn't see spending 60 to 100 dollars. The price on this grinder seemed to good to be true. Thought it would be a chinsy tool but for my limited use it would last. Surprised by the quality, even the chuck that came with it seems quite sturdy.

I love my Northern Industrial grinder!
Compared to my MAC Tools die grinder, I really can't tell any difference.
There has been no issues with my NI grinder failing or falling apart. And that addition of the 3/8" drill collet makes it that much more versatile.
A+ on quality. Very pleased with this die grinder (let alone all of the other Northern Industrial tools I have).

Great product
I purchased this at a great price!! compared to what i got. this die grinder is by far worth it. it works as good as any top brand die grinder for a lot less money. i would recommend this tool to anybody who needs a die grinder once and a while or who needs it every day. it will hold up!!!!!

Good customer service
This is the first die grinder I bought. The neck fell apart w/ in a few minutes of use. I returned it and got one a step up, it did the same thing. I thought I was out of luck since I can't find the reciept, but I called and they can verify by the card I used. I'll be getting an ingersoll rand.

Air angle grinder
Fell apart the second time I used it. Could not keep angle top tight. Northern did return money with no problems.

Angle Die Grinder
Great quality, very versitle, well designed. I use this tool for trimming under the edge of corner blocks, have used both sanding and cutting disks, and drill bits in tight areas. The grinder is light-weight yet very balanced in my hand, can be used quite easily with one hand. Clean up is straight forward, oil points easy to access. I am thinking of purchasing two more to have set up for specific tasks, so I don't have to change out the attachments.

Good tool for the price.
Overall good tool, i refinished my whole frame, took the tool apart and in the angle head i found some small metal shavings, cleaned the whole thing and lubricated the tool, did have an issue with air consumption i have a 30 gal compressor and running full rpm on it did go through the tank rather quickly, but it finished the job and i'm happy with the work it accomplished.
