Great buy.
I purchased this item to replace my homemade ball mount for my compact tractor. It is a simple bracket that accepts the stabdard 2 inch square ball mount from your pickup truck. The bracket is well made and fits on a standard drawbar with the supplied bolts.
As usual for this type of tool, it has no directions so it is possible to install it backwards. Assembly is stone simple. It would be nice had a sheet showing the mounting orientation been included. If the instructions had been supplied, I would have rated this 5 starts.

Very useful
The 2" hitch receiver is exactly what I needed. I'm able to easily install my standard receiver hitch and jockey the boat in and out of the garage.

Economical, Light Duty, Purpose Driven Bracket
This bracket is made by Extreme Metal Products out of Cleveland, OH. (Northern Tool has the best price!!) It's designed to convert your existing 3pt drawbar into a standard 2in. square trailer hitch-style receiver. This bracket offers ONE primary advantage over a traditional 3pt receiver attachment. COST! For less than $100 total investment, I'm able to use my compact tractor to pull an 18' trailer in and out of the back yard and the 3pt hitch does not require me to raise and lower the foot jack on the trailer. I simply position the ball, lift the 3pt arms, lock the pin and away we go! Set it on the driveway and it's ready to go.
While possibilities are endless, one of my favorite attachments is a cargo carrier. This allows me to carry tools to a work area in the yard without the need to make a second trip. Or carry chains and a chainsaw when I take the tractor on firewood missions!
Keep in mind, it is a 'light duty' bracket so I don't recommend it for anything larger than a ~30hp tractor. It's only rated for 200lbs tongue weight but I've used it to lift and drag trees that my 2,000 lbs JD 4100 (20hp) tractor could not pull in 4wd. I admit, I tried to break it and my compact tractor simply could not. As I write this review, it has 350 lbs of suitcase weights hanging off the back for additional ballast. It's strong enough for my uses at less than 1/3 the price of a welded unit. Regardless which route you decide, you won't believe how handy a 2in. receiver on your tractor can be!!

drawbar stabilizer
Prior to obtaining the EMP Tractor Draw Bar Stabilizer, I was pulling a trailer full of fire wood. The tractor draw bar rotated releasing the tow ball from the trailer! The trailer had to be unloaded and reconnected to the tractor creating extra work.
After obtaining the EMP tractor draw bar stabilizer, the tractor draw bar can not rotate. I have not had anymore trailer disconnects!
The EMP Tractor Drawbar Stabilizer is a wonderful piece of equipment that makes trailer towing much safer and reliabable.

A better design
This works well because I can use the 3 point hitch hydraulics to couple the ball on to the trailer by lifting the ball into the socket.

Tractor Draw Bar Hitch Receiver
While this product is called a Tractor Draw Bar Stabilizer its design turns any CAT 1 draw bar into a receiver for a conventional ball mount trailer hitch at a fraction of the cost of buying the custom 3-point CAT 1 unit.

"This stabilizer works just the way I expected it to and is easy to install. Wish I would have purchased years ago."

great time saver
This mounted on my drawbar just as described.I am able to use my utility trailer like a dump unit using the 3pt lift. Don't have to get off tractor to hook up either. Love it.

Does the job with no problems
This was an excellent attachment for my kubota tractor. I can place my large chipper whereever I need it to. It also came in handy when my chipper slowly sank into mud after a couple weeks in a field.

Like it was Custom Made
I frequently move small trailers around our property with our JD 2320 Utility tractor, most have a ball hitch but others not. Using the tractor draw-
bar was not working well , by adding the 3-pt hitch stabilizer to my implement drawbar I can now raise & lower the trailer hitch using the same 2 inch receiver bar I use on my truck.
This item is a huge savings over the complete 3-pt hitch unit sold by John Deere, especially if you already have an implement bar.
