Great Product
I was a residential house painting contractor for several years. I have used this tool to prepare surfaces for painting on several exterior homes. I've recommended this tool to clients, friends, neighbors, and family. It's a great time saving tool that really does the job well. The replacement pads aren't cheap...but all in all it pays for itself several times over throughout its life. Mine is three years old and running very well.

Great Time Save
Works a whole lot better than a palm sander, removed the paint on my window sills in just a few minutes. Can't push too hard or it will remove the wood. Keep all loose clothing away, can chew up a shirt pretty quick. Have not done a large job, but looks like the pad could get a little gummed up, bought a spare just in case. Overall one of the better products I have purchased in awhile, highly recommended for paint removal.

It works really well
This tool is too inexpensive to work as well as it does, I keep waiting for it to fail, break or show some sign of low quality manufacture but it doesn't. At this point it has been so useful, that it has more than justified its cost. If it broke tomorrow, I would buy another. The tool pays for itself in savings of time and sandpaper replacments for other sanders. I have used it to sand/strip paint on some intricate corbels and clapboard. The corbels were tricky as this tool will eat wood if not used carefully. For the clapboard, this tool is so well designed that it is a joy to use. The side of the pad gets the side of the clapboard and it really goes a long way without gumming up with paint. This is a great tool. One caveat: paint chips and dust go everywhere during use - safety glasses and respirator are an absolute must.

Great tool!
This is a great tool and really improved the quality of the job at hand. I painted a 2 story house using this tool as the primary prep tool along with the basic hand held manual scaper for the roughest removal of large loose flakes. It has the proper amount o power to do the work but not so much torque as to cause injury or cause one to lose balance while working on a ladder. The key is the consumable stripper pad which lasts a very long time and did not load up or lose much efficiency as it wore down. It quickly removed layers of old paint without damaging the wood below and feathered the edge to solid paint. I did rig a safety cord (about 5' long) so I wouldn't drop it. My only gripe is the location of the on/off switch which was not easy to operate in some grip positions. A trigger or triggers at the various grip points would be a nice improvement (note to tool designers)
