Pad Heater
Nice little pad heater, good value, wish it did a little better job warming the tank up that I have it on.

Quick Winter Engine Warm-ups
On my truck and Jeep I put one each of these heating pads on the motor oil pan and the automatic transmission oil pan. Even when the temperature is -20F both engines start and idle quietly and come up to temperature in just a few minutes.
On my tractor I put one pad on the motor oil pan and another below a steel plate the battery sits on. Getting that little diesel to bark at zero F can be a challenge if I forget to plug her in which tells me how well these heating pads help out.

Effective Heater for Small Diesel Operations
My '85 Mercedes Benz 300TD had a defective Water Jacket Heater and my use of Biodiesel fuel required preheating for good cold-weather starting here in St. Louis, MO. I installed one of the Kats Heater Pads on my fuel tank and another on my oil pan with excellent results. In severe cold, I also installed a heat lamp next to the Fuel Filter/Injector assembly and ran all winter without difficulty! Just saw that Kats offers a circultating in-line Water Jacket Heater that I plan on installing before the snow flies this winter. Excellent products!

pad heater
This is a great heater. It heats a lot better than I expected. It puts out as much heat as the 350 watt bottle heaters i have purchased. We bought this to use in place of a nitrous bottle heater that cost over 100 dollars. it is very compact and easy to place whereyou need it. I was surprised at the performance and will buy more. The only thing I wish it had was another way to fasten it other than the adhesive pad. Maybe Velcro straps.

Thanks Northern! Great Item.
Northern Tool picked another winner here.
This thing works great and I bought it from them about a year ago. Some things need some time to warrant a good review and this one now passes with flying colors.
Thanks again Northern, you have a good quality selection that everyone appriciates! I've never been remotely disappointed with anything I've purchased.

Silicone Pad heater
I bought two of these. One I use to preheat the fuel filter that I use on my truck running on SVO (straight Veggie Oil). The other heats the batch of used fryer oil that I process to use in my truck. They get much hotter than I thought they would so it take less time to heat up the oil.
I am pleased with this purchase.

I can tell this pad is worth it just by how easily the motor starts in cold weather. starter needs less "effort" turning over the engine. 1 or 2 hours with this heater on and 4L of oil are at operating temp before it even starts up. makes more sense than a block heater.

Kats Pad Heater
A very high quality stick on heater. I use mine on the back side of my sattelite dish to melt snow. The dish is mounted on the roof of a 3-story house so not practical to hand clean it in wintry conditions. I plug the heater in only rarely when the snow sticks to the dish and messes up the signal. I also attached an extension cord which I have secured to the side of the house terminating near an outdoor electrical outlet. The heater works well to keep the dish warm enough to melt all snow and at 150 watt output uses very little electricity. Also the heater is quite flexible and has a very strong adhesive on the back side so stays in place permanently or until removed.
