This grate makes my new boxwood stove much easier to maintain a controlled fire. Its made so it can be easily removed for cleaning the ash from the stove.

warranrteed one no good either
We bought 1 for our wood stove which we use to heat the patio similar to a fire pit. The first 1 warped within 2 uses. Northern Tool sent us a new one and paperwork to send the other 1 back. This 1 warped after the first night of use and has only been used 3 times total.
Perhaps from having the stove outside it is tougher but likely a poor quality product that can't handle the heat that it is made for. Absolutely do not recommend it.

We have a remote cabin with an old Woodsman stove in it. The stove worked fine, but would not be able to completely burn wood and coal as the circulation was poor after burning for a few hours. Being an odd size, it was hard to find a grate that would work. With no sides, this is perfect. The stove now burns hotter and more efficently. For a stove that has a "stepped front" it is just the ticket.

Cast iron, fits well, solid as can be. Stove works 100% better with the grate in place. Ev en easier to get fires started.

After using the stove for a year without the grate this has been a great improvement. I get a hotter burn when needed. Having the fire above the stove floor allows for easier removal of ash without disturbing the fire. Also having the fire off the bottom will help keep the bottom from rusting/burning out.

boxwood stove grate
I purchased this grate 1 month ago and it has collapsed in the middle from normal burning heat.It does make a big difference in controlling the burn of the wood though. It does need more legs for support,so that it wont bend in the middle.I plan to cut it apart in the spring and modify it rather than ordering another until this problem is fixed.Beware if you buy this,it will warp!
