"I use up to two of these extensions with my 10" auger bit so that I can put in deck piers below frost lines---1 extension gives good depth, but adding a second gives great reach-----NOTE!!!!!! When using extensions, do not fill auger to deeply with soil because it gets awkward to remove easily from hole----when using 2 extensions it is good to shut off auger when removing from hole as the extra length makes it necessary to lift powerhead above your head---use caution and have a clean work area around your feet----the price is a little high but the difference in the usability of the auger system is well worth it----I replaced the ataching bolts with quick connect hitch pins to make it quicker and easier to connect one or more extensions to power head and auger bit"
