A Perfect Vise for my Sled Shop...
I ordered the Wilton Multipurpose vise a couple of months ago, and I have been very impressed. Northern shipped out the vise quickly and kept me informed on shipping. Once I got the vise, I was impressed with its design and construction. The dual sided head is overbuilt and abrasion resistant, and the tilt setting makes grabbing things quite easy. This is the best vise I've ever seen!

Awesome Vice!
I had an old 4" vice and I decided to upgrade to this. I am very impressed with this vice! Very strong and sturdy. Mounted to my bench and have used it several times. So glad I got it.
The only thing that I have seen that I would say is a negative is the mfg puts a ton of GREESE on it. You will have to clean it up a bit before you can use it. Other than that, perfect!

What a nice heavy-duty tool! I bought this vise to replace an old 3-1/2" vise I'd been using for many years, and there is simply no comparison. The tilt feature is handy for setting the jaws at the precise angle needed, and the full 360 degree rotation is quite handy. The handles on the two rotational clamps are a little short with some sharp edges, but an extension handle made from a short piece of pipe should remedy this. Also, packing the main screw with grease will smooth up the operation. All things considered, I'm very pleased with this purchase and highly recommend it. Wish I had purchased this vise, or one like it, 30 years ago.

Great all purpose vise
Good for when you need a 3rd hand. Multiple uses and adjustments.

bent handle
was bent when i recieved it but was able to bend back not perfect but workable .. Good vise overall!

Great Vise
I have had this vise for years. It holds well even when pounding or bending a pice of steel. hard to beat the price of this handy vise.

nice tool
I look forward to using this for some time to come. Seems very rugged and well built. The jaws tilt, which is nice, and have a degree wheel for setting angles..... but there is no marker to align the degree wheel to!! Thats the only problem I've seen.

Great Vise
This is a great vise. It's far better than I thought it would be, especially considering the price. Since I purchased it from the catalog, I wasn't exactly sure what I was getting. The picture looks good on the Northern Tool website, but a guy just never knows for sure until he gets the box open.
Folks, the picture is exactly correct. This isn't some crude casting that's been ground down and painted. Every part is finely crafted and finished. It's a very heavy, well designed vise.
For those of you, like me, who were wondering how big the mounting plate is......This vise will fit on a metal plate measuring 8 inches square, with plenty of room for your mounting bolts.. It has four mounting holes, each accepting a 1/2" diameter bolt.
You will not be disappointed with the fit, finish, or quality. The best vise for the money on the market. Nobody provides a vise of this quality for the price.

Very Versatile Vise
I bought this vise to replace a smaller Mechanics vise I had that was not heavy duty. I have been extremely satisfied with this vise and it's features, the rotating head is a very handy feature, I would recommend this vise to anyone.
