Irwin Speedbor MAX Woodboring Bits - 6-Pc. Set, Model# 3041006
Work great when new.. When they are dull they dont really pull through the wood quite like they used to. I'm on my second set so I'm pretty happy with them. A huge improvement over spade bits and they really do pull through the wood

I typically use these for running electrical lines. They self feed, meaning they pull into the wood so that you don't have to push. You only have to push a bit at the end to get through the last part of the wood.
You have to make sure that you have a powerful enough drill to get through your wood. I tried it with a cordless 18volt drill, as I was in an area with no electricity. The drill did not have enough torque to finish the hole. The next time I'm out of town I will bring my generator and a hole hawg to get the job done.
Also, the other reviewer is correct....they should be thicker to fit a 1/2" chuck instead. Also, stay away from any metal (nails, tracking....) as the bits will dull easily.

The drill bits drill holes through wood faster than any other bit I ever used. The drill set should of been 1/2 drive instead because they twist easy. If they come out with a thicker set I'll buy one. They drill through wood like butter, just stay away from nails. Like anyother bit. I do like the bits.
