Northern Industrial Chain Saw Case
A great product and a great price!,

"I purchased the Northern Industrial chain saw case for my sons. Together, my three sons and I invested in a chain saw for home use and since it didn't come with a case I searched online and found Northern Tool and Equipment. This case was exactly what I was looking for. It is large enough to hold the chain saw, extra chain, bar and chain oil, engine oil, safety chaps, safety glasses, gloves and the chain saw instruction manual. Everything that's needed fits in the case and my sons will have all safety equipment with them for their own use and also when they come to help me with work at my home. It makes me worry less about their safety while using the chain saw. Thanks Northern Tool for a great product at a great price!"

"The case is a good fit for most of the chainsaw accessories needed for the jobsite. It is a standard size that will fit most chainsaws presently on the market. The price was the lowest I could find on the web. I purchased another separate plastic bar guard through Northern which fits much better on the 16" bar than the one that came with the case. I would recommend it for transporting it around in your vehicle. The case can be used for other tool as well if you install the bar guard plug that came with the box."

Norhtern Industrial Chain Saw Case,

"This saw case sells for far less than the Echo one, and is sturdily made. It has a flat top that doubles to place things on. The carry handle folds down, is well placed, and the box lid latches are easy to flip open, and fasten shut.
The saw bar-guide cover easily fits over the chain bar with the chain on the bar, and the accompanying info. stated that it would fit an Echo 18" to 22" and it works okay, however the box is a just a little too short for the saw with the bar on it, and it is a bit of an effort to get the saw out of the box with the bar on the saw. I modified the bar guide cover by cutting about four inches off of it and it worked well with the 18" saw.
I would recommend this box for purchase."

"I received this as a gift and my Efco 152 fits in it very well, my only complaint is that the chain and bar cover is hard to get on and off. Otherwise this case is very well designed and built. I would buy another one if something happened to this one"

"This is a great value for the case you get!! Sturdy handle and hinges! Fits my Husqvarna 455 Rancher with a 24" Bar like it was made for it! Plenty of extra room for a quart of bar oil and some 2 cycle oil for tha gas, I also put 4 spare chains in my case and some tools(bar wrench, Screwdriver, channel locks, chain files). If I needed another I would buy one right now!"

Northern Industrial Chain Saw Case
Good Value, Good Product,

"I have an 18" Echo CS-400 chainsaw, and bought this case for that. The case is made of heavy-duty plastic, even the clips & hinges (which worries me a bit since I could easily see these breaking). The entire case flips open for easy access to everything and there is plenty of room for chain oil, tools, instruction manual, etc. The guide bar cover slides in and out of the case pretty easily and is more than long enough for an 18" saw.
I only have two pieces of criticism:
1. The guide bar cover was extremely difficult to fit over the guide bar at first. I actually had to let it sit out in the sun for a while to soften up the plastic, then I was able to force it in. Now that the saw has been in and out a few times, it's not as hard but still a bit of a struggle.
2. The velcro strap that holds the handle of the chainsaw in place while in the case is bolted into the plastic case and the bolt popped out immediately when I tried to pull the velcro apart to get my saw in there on the first use. I pushed it back in and now I'm just careful not to pull too hard. But that being the case, I don't believe the saw would stay in place if the case is being jarred.
Other than those two minor problems, the case is roomy and convenient and the price is right. The case doubles as a good work area to tune up the saw while on the job site too."
