Great when woking alone
Using the leverage factor, I can move those large logs at will with this cant hook.

back saver
I recently moved into a house with a wood stove for heat. Having never had to cut large amounts of firewood before, I wasn't sure what I was in for. It's alot of work, but I enjoy it as it helps keep me in shape year around. This tool is a must have for anyone that is trying to move large logs into a splitter, on/off of a trailer and for general logging uses such as moving a limb that is in a bind or freeing a stuck chainsaw bar. if anything, I wish I had bought the 6' version for more leverage. In all, the construction is great, and the handle is comfortable to use. I've not got into any log I can't find a way to move if I have the leverage.

Impressive looking but weak.
Got the cant hook last week to maneuver logs on my home sawmill. I was impressed by the 2' diameter, well cushioned, nicely painted aluminum handle and set out to use it right away. I got my chainsaw stuck in a pine tree I had felled and used the cant hook to roll the 12' long, 20" diameter log to free up the saw. I set the hook in the log and proceeded to pull on the end of the handle. The log moved, but the thick aluminum handle bent in the process. Northern Tool is getting this one back. I hope I have better luck with the other cant hook I ordered as a replacement. It has a hickory handle and has some good reviews.

This one won't say "cant"!
I purchased this cant hook to move large logs (up tp 30" in diameter) as well as to speed up my firewood cutting process. The universal stand from Logrite fits this cant hook as though it were made for it (hint, hint)! With the stand this cant hook will easily lift an 18" log and hold it steady while one cuts firewood lengths from the log end.
