Great, but...
What really makes this sprayer an enticing buy is the fact that with it, you don't have to stop every couple of minutes to pump it up and every 15 minutes to fill it up as you would the usual 1-gallon sprayer.
On the other hand, the company says: "the backpack design makes it easy to carry". Four gallons of liquid weighs 35 pounds. Empty, the unit weighs 15 pounds, for a total of about 50 pounds, which was too heavy for me to carry comfortably. I strapped it to a hand cart/dolly which would make it easy to use on smooth, level ground, but my area is hilly, making the hand cart hard to control while pulling and spraying. It still beats the hassle of a 1-gallon sprayer though.
The manual is among the worst I've ever seen for any product. It's a total mishmash of poorly organized information. I called customer service for clarification and got the following info:
Leaving the sprayer plugged in more than 12 hours can make the battery get hot and swell up.
The manual does not say how to do a "full discharge" of the battery before recharging. It says not to run the sprayer with no water in the tank, but it can take spraying of up to 20 four-gallon tanks of water to run the battery down. Not only is that a waste of 80 gallons of water, but it would be very, very time consuming.
The tech said to put water in the tank and put the nozzle of the wand back into the tank, then turn it on spraying. I would have never thought of that because on a regular 1-gallon manual tank, the whole tank is pressurized and won't work with the lid off, but the NeverPump only "pressurizes the pump".
The straps tend to pop off, so figure on gluing them on.
There are 4 spray heads, but despite the different descriptions, they ALL put out a mist. You can NOT get a non-misting stream or spray of liquid. The mist doesn't go more than a few feet.
Things to do before using the NeverPump:
1. Take off the base and check all connections. The manual doesn't say to, but when I asked the tech, she said it's a good idea because the sprayer is shipped from China and things could come loose.
2. Charge the battery for 10-12 hours. The battery doesn't come out. Just plug the charger into the sprayer's base.
3. Test it with plain water. You don't want harsh chemicals running down your back to be the first indication that there is a leak. (Another good reason to put it on a hand cart.) This is also a good time to try out the different "spray" (mist) heads to see how each performs (hint: about the same).
I wear rubber gloves when using it because the first time, the spray handle leaked onto my hands. I also wear a surgical-type mask because the chemical I'm using says to do so.

Best Sprayer Ever
I can't believe I waited so long to get one of these. After years of carrying around a one and a half gallon pump sprayer, this Hudson "no pump" model is awesome. I have a lot of gravel area at my home and it seems the weeds constantly want to take over. I go through about 12 gallons of weed killer on all of the areas I need to spray. With the Hudson sprayer, it takes no time at all. Less refills involved; no bending over and pumping up the sprayer; just fill it, put it on my back with the comfortable straps, turn on the pump and get the job done. So far I've only used one of the spray nozzles it comes with, but it worked great. If you can carry a day pack, you can carry one of these. I highly recommend this sprayer to anyone that a lot of area to spray.

No more pumping
Sprayer works great. I am a little concerned about the clips that hold the strap to the bottle. They are plastic and could break. If one breaks, it will be a hassle to rig something up. Its heavier that a manual sprayer, but its not bad. i put it in the tail gait of the pickup and its easy to backup to it and strap it on. Battery last pretty good while. I can spray about 4 or more bottles full before I have to charge it. I have had it about 2 years now and it still works fine. I spray weeds, brush, insecticide. Spray mist is not too fine, but works well.

ENVY OF THE NEIGHBORS
OVER THE YEARS I HAVE GONE THRU SEVERAL PUMP HANDEL SPRAYERS. JUST DIDN'T LAST.
TWO YEARS AGO PURCHASED THIS FROM NORTHERN TOOL. I'LL TELL YOU THIS IS THE BEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD. I LET IT CHARGE 24 HOURS AND THAT CHARGE LASTED ALL SUMMER WEED SEASON. I KEEP IT ON THE WORK BENCH SO ALL I HAVE TO DO IS BACK INTO THE STRAPS AND GO. WHETHER A SMALL JOB OR THE ENTIRE YARD ITS READY. AND THE BEST THING. KEEPS MY LEFT HAND FREE TO HOLD A BEER.

Awesome sprayer
Purchased this sprayer to accomplish many different spraying tasks around my home and yard from weeds to foundation bugs. What an easy and effective tool this sprayer has become, I even use it to apply patio stone sealer. The nicest thing is I haven't had to pump it up!!!
Great sprayer worth it's weight in bugs...
No negatives to speak of yet.

Well worth the price
Some have complained about the weight but I do not agree. It is a backpack sprayer. So easy to use and you never need to pump while you walk and spray as with other back pack sprayers. Friends, if it is that heavy, try putting 2 gallons in it instead of 4. This sprayer works great and with the extra spray heads you can tackle any job you want as long as the liquid is safe for sprayer. What I like about this sprayer is that it maintains it pressure and the job goes much quicker without having to stop and pump. The battery charge always last longer than my job at task and it is a huge amount of spraying that needs to be done. It is well worth the price even if you only need to spray a couple gallons or less. I hated the couple gallon sprayers as not only do you have to carry the sprayer but you have to stop, set it down, pump it up, pick it back up and start to spray again to only find out you need to walk back to where I started and mix up another 2 gallons of material. This sprayer solved my problems and I feel it is a great product.

Hudson Neer Pump Sprayer
Awesome sprayer. Always ready to spray. Not too heavy for this old man even when full. I can also place it between my legs on my riding lawn tractor and spot spray as I mow. Sure dread when the wife finds out I've bought one more tool.

Pretty Good, Pretty Handy
This is a good product. There is a trade off between not having to continuously pump up a manual sprayer and either hand carrying or carrying this sprayer on your back; it's heavy. Otherwise, it works very well for general use around your home. I have used mine to spray for insects, spray for weed control, spray the siding on my house for cleaning, spray the concrete around my pool for cleaning- the list of uses is endless and this product gets it ALL DONE.

Very Professional and Useful
Have used the backpack multiple times now and at first I was having issue with range. It is advertised at 25-30' and I was getting less than 10'. I took apart the nozzle with the single stream output and replaced the washer with a small one (included) and now I have the range I need. The stream shoots every bit of 25' and I have no issues spraying down 2 story homes.

POOR SPRAY HEIGHT
I bought mine to spray ornamental trees. All of the spray heads seam to do the same foggy pattern, no stream to get any height. max hieght is maybe 10 feet. Also, the nozzles are not standard so you have to replace the entire wand to get another nozzle.
