"i purchased two 1 horse pumps, one for me and one for a friend, the one that i had before was also a Wayne, it lasted almost 15 years, I get my water from a creek, and that pump was put through some of the harshest conditions conditions that would have fried any other pump brand, so when it was time to replace it, of course i went with Wayne, oh and by the way, the 15 year old pump, never really died all the way ,it was still going, when i put in the new one, i did and would recommend this pump to anybody"

"I purchased a 1/2 HP Wayne Heavy-Duty Jet pump about ten years ago for my country home. It developed a leak, and I decided to fix it, but my wife insisted that I buy a new one in order to avoid down time. Since I got more than my moneys worth out of that pump I opted for the 1HP Model. Was I glad that Northern still carried the Wayne Pump! If they didn't I would have had to surf the Net until I found another one. It pumped water from an old stone well that was located 25 yards from my house through a 3/4 inch plastic pipe that was sunk 4 feet underground below the frost line. It pressurized a 40 gallon containment tank which delivered the water to the house and filled a 40 gallon hot water electric tank. I wish that I had purchased the 1HP unit ten years ago, since it filled my tanks a lot quicker and only took only prime to do it. The only other problem that I had with the old pump was a rusted on fill bolt. Just a tip, but remember to remove your prime fill bolt at the end of the year, if you close your house down like I do, or you will be installing a T Fitting, a stopper and a hose clamp in order to prime your pump, just like I did."
