Northern Industrial Tire Spoon - 30in. Curved
Two for two
I bought two of these for fixing tractor tires. I have used them twice in the last week and one the curve straightened out and is now straight and the other one broke off approximately a half inch. I am guessing they aren't made of the best steel and maybe not heat treated properly. They may have been ok for an auto tire. I also bought two of the 18 inch they seem more heavy duty than the longer ones.

product is as expected and seems pretty stout. It is just a bar with a flattened end that has a slight bend to it.

I was skeptical of the quality for the advertised price but these came through without a hitch. I had to mount a couple of 8 ply 9.5x24 agricultural tires. The unyielding sidewall of these tires popped over the rim lickity split. I used them in pairs and with some dish detergent, tires went on painlessly.

I purchased Tire Spoon on your Order Number: 27114810 in January 2010. We used this product to mount a tire on to the wheel. This tool comes in very handy when you have a heavy tire that you cannot mount on to the wheel with a rod or using any other kind of tool. I recommend purchasing tools from Northern Tool because their tools are very heavy duty made and doesn't have a fear that it will break during a task.

Farm tire work
I am regularily having to change small tires on rakes, etc. and not wanting to run to the tire shop every time I purchased this tire tool. I just clamped a pipe in my vise and put the tire/rim over the pipe and use this tire tool to remove and install the tire. It worked very good and everything went smooth. The tire was removed easily and the tire was replaced easily. The tool is strong and long enough to provide leverage.
