Not what I expected
Had this one for a year and its activating the brake lights and running my battery dead, it does it constantly for a while then blinks rapidly for a minute or so then off for a couple minuted then back on. Happens while driving or sitting with the truck off, its hooked up to the factory wiring. It worked great until now but......................... not happy, going back to the basic model!

not happy
i bought this it was said to be the best and we used it one time and it quit working i called the maker and just got a run around. it said limited life time warranty still don't have a controller and no brakes to much run around and wont stand behind there product

Not Consistent
I have been using this controller for almost 2 years and have found that it is not consistent in it's internal inertia adjustments. I have tried to make manual adjustments based on weight of the load, etc. but it does not always work. I am going back to a more simple model with basic brake power adjustment...I cant risk not stopping!

Great unit
Great unit.......bought 6 of these for fleet trucks and they all work great, just ordered and received 5 more and the new ones have the "quick connect" which I didn't want but I'll just cut it off and wire it in.
Highly Recommend!

no quick connect plug
The product was supposed to have the "quick connect" option. It arrived today, and there are just bare wires coming out the back, NO PLUG!
I paid the extra money for this controller, bought the special "quick connect" cable, and now, to install it, I have to cut the cable and splice the wires.
See that plug in the picture? That's the one that didn't come with the unit...

Best for the price
Genesis Brake controller works great and is easy to adjust. I have had others and this one performs better than the others, some were more expensive. Very easy to install.

genesis brake controller
I purchassed this controller becouse I upgraded to a larger three axle trailer and the controler I had was not strong enough for what I needed. I ordered the controller and recieved it in timely fashion. When I installed it using all the same wiring I already had I was very pleased with the modern system. I no longer spend time adjusting and setting the controller. It is fully self controlled and it knows when it needs more power. Also it has a great feature that it knows when the tailer is hooked up and can also diagnose connection problems.
All in all I am very happy with this product and would recommend it to my friends.

Hayes,brake controller mod.81790
I ordered this controller not knowing much about it,i knew what i wanted and what it had to do but wasn't quite sure what to expect.I've orderd stuf in the past from northern and they have always sent good products,so i bought it and as always northern didn't let me down.This controller is great and is real easy to use.

Great Product!
This product is by far one of the best trailer brake controllers on the market. Good instructions, fairly easy to install (took about 20 minutes). Would suggest this over any other controllers out there.
