Great little stapler,

"Nice and light and works great! Have only done a few small jobs so far, but despite its shortcomings (lack of depth adjustment) it has been great. I have been using it at 60PSI and it has performed flawlessly. Beats the heck out of either manual or electric staplers. I have a large compressor, so have been using a small (7 gallon) tank that I have rigged up with a regulator so we can use the stapler in other locations. Uses very little air to drive a staple, so get plenty of staples driven before having to refill tank. At this price, I would give it more than 5 stars if I could."

"My wife and I were working on a construction project, and standard spring powered staplers just were driving the staples into the wood far enough. We thought we'd give this pneumatic stapler a try. Great price, and it uses standard T-50 staples. (That's really important, because you can get these T-50's just about anywhere.)

Well, the stapler arrived with Northern Tools usual efficiency, and we gave it a go. WOW, this thing is easy to use, easy to load, and will drive the staples deep into the wood.

There is nothing like a good tool that works as intended, and is built well, and this is it. It's a great tool, comes in a nice case, and works great. That's about as good as it gets. I would highly recommend it, if only just to have it around the place, "just in case" you might need it."

Good tool for the cost,

"Using this stapler to hang insulation. I had one fall apart on me, but Northern Tool replaced pretty quickly. Since the cost is pretty low, I wasn't upset to have to return the first one. The replacement gun is great and is doing exactly what it was intended to do. The cost of this really makes this product great for the casual user. Obviously, I wouldn't recommend this as contractor grade but this is not the market it is targeted for. I will buy more from Northern Tool, it's been a good experience."

"To be fair, I have only put about 1000 staples through this tool, so it hasn't really stood the test of time. However, I used it to build a chicken coop, recover our dining room chairs, and bunch of other projects. I have only used T-50 staples so far. This stapler never once jammed or mis-fed. I used it in the described pressure range, and also at higher outputs, and it worked perfectly in all settings. It is light, easy to handle, and quick to reload. While VERY cheap, it appears to be well made and all components and hardware fit well."

"The first one I ordered worked for about three staples and then quit. I called
Northern Tool and was immediately shipped a new one before I returned
the old one. They even sent a return shipping label so it did not cost me
anything to return it. Excellent customer service. I could not ask for more.
By the way the new one works fine."

Are staples for this available in any hdw store?

Details:

We want to use this to stretch art canvas around stretcher bars - the term "fine wire" has me concerned. Are these
"regular" type staples that you use for say, a Power Shot
stapler? It's time to upgrade to a pneumatic model and
we're searching for the right one.
