"Our client initially had a moisture problem in their crawlspace. A combination of no vapor barrier, closed vents, and jury-rigged fixes helped mold to grow, damaged insulation, raised heating and cooling costs, and was leading to structural damage. Our architect specified the V1D. As hoped, we it installed it and our electrician got it working in perhaps 2 hours. With a built-in humidistat and thermostat, this was the perfect solution for our client's needs. If their crawlspace had been larger, we could have simply specified the V2D. They're in my toolbox for similar future projects."

"I purchased two of these (1 V2D and 1 V1D) to help move some air in my crawl space. They seem to be built pretty sturdy. Installation was fairly simple too. I can hear the noise from the v2d if the house is DEAD silent but if there's any other noise then you can't hear it. I had to put my ear to the floor to hear the V1D running. It really does move air well. I tested this by placing pieces of paper against other foundation vents and the draft from the fans pulled the paper up against all of them. However, the fans didn't fix my humidity problems under the house. It was old duct work causing the issue. In hindsight, I wish I had a switch in the house somewhere for these. I'd recommend wiring these to a switch that is easily accessible because you don't want these running when its raining or at least I didn't."

"i installed 2 of these in my crawl space.very easy to install.they work very well but
be prepared as in the summer they run constantly. i wish i had bought the 2 fan model to move more air.i had a problem with one of them,the thermostat went bad and it would not run. tjernlund sent me a replacement thermostat free of charge and it was an easy fix.i would recommend this product."
