I feel that it is an over all good product.
Not the nicest quality that i have worked with but not the most expensive ether so that is expected. Although, i have seen cheaper ones available elsewhere that seemed to be better quality. At first i thought it was malfunctioning and it just so happen that what was malfunctioning was the only part that i wanted it for in the first place, the clamp. In turn i was using this particular meter wrong. After i figured out how to use this one it worked very well.
If that was it than i would not have recommended it to a friend. What really changed my mind for this product was the temperature gauge. I cant tell you how many times i have use this for so many reasons. I can use it to determine exact exhaust temps coming out of my engines to figure out if the are running right. I have also used this feature to decide what flame type i needed for an application. This was able to tell me what temp each flame would burn at and then i would decide what would fit my application. This device saved me from having to buy one for temperature only.
For my application it was perfect i needed something that had all the functions of a expensive multimeter but with out the cost so i could keep it in my truck.

This meter is larger than expected, almost 2" thick and over 15" long, so you may have trouble getting it into a small space. I have had no trouble with mine; everything works and it is quite accurate. I wish the backlight stayed on for more than 5 seconds before fading off, but ... overall not bad for the price. If you have something NOT working right, make the time to return it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by RMike Test leads have a bad connection
This is a nice meter for the price, but unfortunately mine has an intermittent connection where the test leads enter the meter. So when measuring voltage, if it reads 0.00 I know the lead connection is bad. I wiggle them a bit and if it's truly 0 volts I usually get a reading of about 0.7-0.8V when I'm on a 110V circuit. This is very inconvenient and not to mention unsafe. I like the clamp on ammeter feature but again, the lead connection prevents me from recommending this to anyone.
I tried taking the meter apart and checking the connections inside but could not find an open circuit. It may the the leads themselves but who has the time to troubleshoot (or return) this stuff?
