Peavey
I chose this log Northern Industrial Peavey - 4-Ft. totally based on the price point. It has worked well from day 1. I made it work even better by spending 2 minutes with a hand file. I sharpened the hook slightly and it digs into the logs and make rolling them a breeze.

Needed Fixing
Peavy works quite well now that the duckbill hook has been reworked. Had to sharpen the point and do some grinding on the hinge to allow it to rotate freely.
I was not surprised after reading other reviews. But the price was reasonable
and the tool is now very functional.

Also had hook break
Worked well untill hook broke off after moving a few logs, just like several others have. Fix the hook and it would be a good product.

Not the best tool i've ever purchased
Seemed like a good tool when I bought it but the hook broke off it on the second log I tried to move. Not too impressed.

back saver
I recieved my peavey at 9 a.m. yesterday morning and imediately put it to work. Before buying this product i would attempt to roll and carry huge pieces of red oak, by hand, to my splitter. After sharping the hook I was rolling logs with ease. It definately was a good buy and a back saver. Don't know how i've made it this long without it.

Good Tool
I bought my peavey over a year ago and i's still working well. I would recomend this product.

serious tool
When you first get this tool the first thing you think is dang that's a handle. It could use a little hook tip sharpening, but once your'e done with that it is a pretty serious tool. It will gladly roll the biggest logs that Alaska can grow. I am a professional woodsman and this tool is in my permanent kit, If you cut firewood for a living this is a must have.

Like newell, I broke the hook off the peavey, on my second use,. Instead of returning it, I just had a friend weld it back on. Needs to be welded better at the factory or it will continue to be bad product.

DOA
The end of the hook broke on the first use. Rather than send it back, because of all the hastle that involves, I welded it back on myself. Since then, it has been a good tool.
