Easy Gardner Garden Defense Electronic Owl, Model# 8021
The item was placed in a barn in the roof trusses. It was in a low light area and the motion detection did not work.

Seems to be effective on birds but it very fragile and not heavy enough to stand without some type of added weight. Unit is not easily attached to any type of external base. Still working on figuring out how to mount it securly. The head of the owl is easily knocked off as it just slips over a small metal shaft/plastic gear assembly that turns the head. T

Owl Goes to Sea
I bought the Owl to keep the birds from making a mess of my boat. The Owl works as advertised, but without sufficient weight at the base it tips over in a breeze, I'll need to fasten to a rail or weight the bottom down. On the first occasion, the Owl fell off a storage box and landed on the deck where it went into continuous hooting. Night Watchmen gave me a call saying that something mechanical was cycling on my boat. Thought it was the bilge pump and boat was taking on water. It was just the Owl.

motion activated owl for my garden
this product has helped with keeping the ground hogs and opossums out of the garden. It has been reliable and dependable. it has with stood the strong storms that have hit Ohio all summer long. I would recommend this product to all my family and friends. I hope that each one will purchase this item from Northern Tool and equipment this year. Thanks for such a wonderful product.

We were having a real problem with birds flying and roosting on our porch. Once I put the owl out, they did not land. They would fly up to the porch and when the owl hooted, they flew off. I love watching the birds, but don't like the clean up. I mounted it on a wooden post about 2 1/2 feet tall and painted it like a tree. It looks very realistic or at least it fooled the birds. Great product.

I mounted my owl on a fence post at the corner of my garden to scare off rabbits. At twilight, a real horned owl swooped down just below mach 1 and knocked off my hooter's head! My headless hooter continued to hoot. It was a clean hit and I was able to re-attached the head and returned my hooter to service.
Several nights later, the same event occurred, but my hooter sustained significant damage. It still hoots, but gear arrangements that move the head is now inoperative. My hooter is still guarding my garden in a limited capacity!

Protect your berries!
Great Product! It kept the birds, rabbits, even the dog away from my blueberries. Battery life was a little short but we have allot of birds in the area and the little guy had to work overtime. I bought three and mounted them onto planks of cedar with nails sticking down to hold them in place right in between the berry plants. I moved them frequently to keep the pests guessing. Best blueberry crop ever and I didn't have to deal with the netting! You wont be disappointed.

However if you have pigions that have already layed eggs it will not get ride of them. you must get rid of them first and then use the owl.I have done this and it works
