Milton V-Style Hi-Flo Coupler Body - Brass, 1/4in. FNPT, Model# S764
These things are awesome 99% of the time, but I have had one or two that acts up on occasion - when attempting to plug a tool in, the release collar slides down (as if the tool is connected) before the tool is completely plugged in. This locks the tool out, and I have to reset the collar and try again. Maybe I just have some crud in it or something, but most of the time they've been great.
Also works with standard I/M type plugs, but may leak a small amount with these if you wiggle the plug around.

nice but leak
I purchased quite a few of these both male and female, 3/8" and 1/4" to convert my entire shop. While they obviously flow better, I have at least 4 coupler bodys that leak when they are disconnected. Without the leaks, the rating would have been 5 stars.

High quality. High flow. No leaks. Makes blow gun and air grinders work more powerfully.

1/4" fitting flows like a 3/8" fitting. Really woke up my impact gun. Great product. I ended up ordering more for all my tools.

Twice the price and worth it!
At roughly twice the price of standard couplers you've got to ask yourself why you really need these high volume couplers. If you have a small air compressor or are only using tools with low CFM requirements then the answer may be that you don't. However, if you have a blast cabinet, sandblaster, HVLP spray gun, or big tools that use a lot of air then these couplers are cheap insurance that you're getting all the air you can. Another big advantage to these couplers is that they are compatable with standard A and M style connectors as well as the matching high flow V style connectors which means that you will spend less time digging through your spare parts to find compatible pieces whenever you borrow a tool or a friend brings his tools over to help out. But to my mind the biggest benefit is that the retaining collar stays in the "cocked" position so that connecting tools becomes a simple one handed operation! Convenience, universal compatability, ease of use, and high volume air flow . . .who could ask for more? Over the years I've occasionally used cheap air connectors and often they turn out to be not much of a bargain when they don't hold up or are hard to operate. For the small difference in cost I think these couplers are a real bargain!
One caveat; while you can plug nearly any connector into these couplers the reverse is not true. If you are using the matching V style high flow connectors on your tools they will not plug into standard A or M style couplers.

The Milton Hi-Flo V Style coupler is the best I've ever used. Most couplers require you to pull the locking sleeve down to insert the other part of the connection. This requires some dexterity. With the Milton Hi-Flow V Style the sleeve's normal position is down and you just push the tool on to the coupler. And it is smooth as silk. Really excellent!
