"I tried several other pumps to push oil though my hose reels at 100 ft and they just wouldn't cut it or had very little pressure. Hooked up this pump and tested it at 100 psi (air) and got @ 12 qts in one min. of 15w40 at room temp. I am very satified with the pump I ordered the same pump to go into the rest of my 55 gal drums. thank you, GONE NUTS"

Does the transfer trick,

"I use this air operated pump to transfer motor oil from 55 gallon drums into my trailer. Every other pump I could find was at least twice the cost so I was a little skeptical. I have tranfered only three drums with it so far, but it has worked great and exceeded my admittedly low expectations. It is of course not as smooth or fast as the diaphram pump I use for waste transfer, but it is also 1/7th the cost and seems better matched to my 6hp compressor. It reminds me of the thumper from "Dune." I highly recommend ordering a hose, adapter and nozzle at the same time. I didn't and had to run around the farm store trying to find something. I ended up with a ten foot hose for fuel transfer as well as a simple fuel nozzle. They work great. A swivel would be a nice, but costly addition. You will need an air coupling and a drum wrench as well. Might as well get it all together and save yourself the running around I had to do."

"I hooked up my pump into my 55 gallon 5w-20 and 5w30 tanks and it worked very well. I have a small air leak, but I think I just need more teflon tape around the 1/4 NPT air fitting(that I added). It should be clear from the description, but don't forget you still need hoses and nozzles for how you are going to use it. I had to make a run to the local farm store and almost ended up with a very expensine hydraulic hose. I found a fuel transfer hose with 3/4 NPT (used a 3/4-1/2 NPT female-female adapter) on both ends and the cheapest fuel nozzle to work very well. I just recommend ordering all of that stuff with the pump. So after the first 80 gallons, it is working great."
