Special Unloading Requirements When Shipping Via Truck Freight or Common Carrier:

This item is shipped via "truck freight" (common carrier or flat-bed, not UPS). The truck must be able to access the place of delivery.

Truck freight companies do NOT require their drivers to unload shipments. An additional "Lift Gate" fee will apply if the driver unloads the merchandise. Lift gate service simply means that the freight is lowered to the ground. It is the customer's responsibility to move the product after it has been lowered to the ground.

The shipping carrier will call and schedule delivery, at which time, you may request a "Lift Gate" (provided the weight and dimensions of the product fits the criteria for lift gate service) and arrange payment with the carrier for that service.

Food plots,

"I purchased this swisher mower about a year ago and I have used it for my yard and for preparing food plots on my hunting property. It is great. I can cut about 3 acres an hour or more. I am very impressed with the ease that it will go though high grass and weeds. I have cut areas that have never been accessed before with no problem at all. I have cut some areas that were 3 foot high. You will have to go over it twice at that height though. But you cannot do that with any other mower."

pull behind mowers,

"I own a pull behind.8hp,42in cut.If you have flat yards this is the way to go. I pull it behind my 15hp,42in deck mower and the extra cutting swipe cuts mowing in half.I now mow almost 7 feet each round as opposed to the 42 in. swat.I am so pleased to be able to get in out of this heat sooner because of the combo I have.
It ,like most new things,will take a while to get used to mowing and getting around things in your yard.BUT,once you have mastered the technique you`ll love cutting grass"

Belts break and poor handle design,

"I use this to cut my clear areas down where I hunt. The grass gets pretty long in between cuttings and it is pretty hilly. I have already gone through 3 belts in a little over a year. If the grass is too long they burn up pretty quick. I have also already snapped the bar that attaches to the mover. It needs to be reinforced better to handle the stress. I don't even attempt to run it at an angle, as I am sure that would snap it even faster. I think the mower is too heavy for the design of the handle, particularly if you are not cutting flat property. All the weight of the mower is straining against the handle, and it is too much weight. It does cut well when it is running. I knew about the problems going in and just expected to be buying replacement parts."

"I bought the trail mower for my lawn, and it does great. Later I purchased a vacant lot, which by code must be maintained. Local landscapers wanted $200 a cut. I know the "44 inch was just for lawns, but I tried it on the vacant lot, and it cut it with no problem. Had large shrubs, palmettos, very high weeds, and rough terrain. I just set the deck up high, and mowed it down. I was really surprised and pleased. I have owned it for almost two years now, use it often, and have never had a problem..."

Swisher 44" Trailmower,

"Pros -
Well-built, sturdy, easy starting, easy height adjustment.

Cons -
The engine could be a bit more powerful; the gas tank could be larger.

I cut 2 acres every weekend during the summer and the Trailmower makes short work of the job.

It is very sturdy and yet it rolls easily behind my ATV.

The Trailmower provides a very nice finished cut, is easy to start and gets the job done. I would recommend this to anyone needing to mow a large area quickly."

"some 2 or 3 years aog my wife was out side seen how hard i was working she told me she had seen a swisher trailmore at northin tool now i have the morethis is best more i could hever gite. this swisher trailmore cut my work in haft. i would tell enyone who was looking for a more the swisher trailmore is the one to by the price is just right. if i had to by a more it would be aswisher trailmore. and northing tool is where i would go. northing tool told me swisher trailmore is the best and im proud to on a swishe trailmore."

Go with a PTO,

"This thing eats through belts and stalls. It'd be good for doing large areas of flat land but nothing where grass is super tall. I'd rather take my zero turn through the tall stuff and risk abit of damage. Seemed like I had to double cut some high stuff to get a good semi clean look. had to go slow too. I'd suggest using a utility vehicle or a heavy duty liquid cooled quad cause you could overheat one real quick with how slow you seem to have to go.

My reccomendation is to get a PTO driven mower if you have a tractor available."

"I bought my Swisher Finish Mower 10 years ago. I have only had to replace the belt twice and the blades once during that time. I have a 5 1/2 acre lawn which I mow every week. This mower has not given me problems and I have already recommended this mower to friends and family."

it`s a B/S motor .You can get a moter off the enternet or go to any lawn mower repair shop and they can get what you need. You say this is a swisher so your Northern tools dealer should be able to sell you the motor you are looking for.

It is possible for us to find a replacement engine that will work for almost any application. Find the model and type number on the engine. (These numbers very by the specific model of the mower and the time of production), and contact one of our sales associates @ 1-800-221-0516.
