Fill-Rite Fuel Transfer Pump delivers the ruggedness of cast iron and the convenience of portability. The SD1202 is designed for tank or barrel mounting. This unit provides safer, more efficient transfer of diesel, gasoline, kerosene, mineral spirits, Stoddard solvent (white spirit) and heptane. U.S.A.

"I use this unit to transfer diesel from barrels to my tractor. It is light easy to use and very dependable. It has eliminated hours of hand pumping. one thing that would make it even better is a slip in collar for barrels. The screw in neck is very awkward when changing barrels."

"This is an awesome pump. I've had mine for 4 years now. I transfer about 400 gallons of diesel every week in a trucking fleet. Built in screen prevents pump failure from foreign particles. I've also used this to transfer oils; it works good, but at a slower gpm rate, of course. Also, I lift with this pump, up about 8 feet, to a storage tank. This was a great investment for me!"

"This was my first fuel transfer pump and had been using cans to fill my tractors before this. Found the instructions to assemble the pump to be easy to follow. Electrical connection instructions were something that needed to be read more than once but all made sense later. I have used the pump to fill tractors with diesel fuel and love the ease of doing it. I had it mounted on a portable fuel tank and can fill the tank on the back of the truck at a station and use the pump from there. I plan on building a platform for the pump and tank assembly and use my tractor front end loader to lift it from the truck down to the ground to store fuel in. Very satisfied."

"We purchased this pump when we went from individual quarts of fluid to 55 gallon drums. The pump works flawlessly and is simple to operate. There doesn't seem to be any waste of fluid before during or after use. It runs quietly and works every time. We are saving time and money as the manual pump it replaced was not efficient in any manner. We are extremely satisfied with this pump and we recommend it to anyone with the same need for fluid transfer."

"This is a great time saver for our church. We use it to pump diesel fuel from our storage tank to various tractors & mowers. It works great and sure beats the old hand pump. This thing runs on 12 volts so we can take the tank to the tractor if it runs out and don't have to worry about having 120 VAC to run the pump since it is 12 VDC."

"This is a good pump that does what it's supposed to do. It's outside on top of a barrel and fills my tractor and diesel Jetta in the coldest of weather. There are higher capacity pumps in the same product line, I suspect they work even better. I will be adding a flow meter soon, and maybe a filter at some point."

"I was very surprised at the rate the pump puts out. I first tried it in a 55 gallon drum filled with diesel fuel and it just about sucked the drum inside itself. Short story is this pump is very powerful and will do what it says it will. I highly recommend it."

what size pipe do i need to add a filter?

Answers

On the suction side, you can use 1". The output side reduces down to 3/4". You can always use adapters to upsize, and increase flow to and from the filter.

If you are talking about a filter inside the drum for the suction, it is a 1" pipe. If you are talking about where the hose attaches to the pump, it is 3/4" pipe.
