Skid Steer Enclosure - Case 1845C
Great product for the price
I ordered this enclosure and received it in a couple days and installed it the next day. I was very impressed with it for the cost. I use it with the snow blower and I also have a heater in the cab. It is warm enough in the cab @ -20 below and the only thing I had to add was a fan pointing at the door. I would recommend this to anyone that wants a cab enclosure for a very reasonable price. You can go out and buy the clear plastics to cover the openings and by the time you install it all and figure out a door with your time and material you will have more in it. THANKS NORTHERN.

Cab Enclosure looked like a great idea for my 1845C skidloader but I never got to install it. I opened the box and was reading the instructions and it says you can not trailer the machine with the cab on more then 30mph. It looks easy to put on and remove but in the cold weather its gonna crack and get busted installing and removing all the time. I would not recommend if you trailer your skid loader regularly. Northern should put some information about the trailering issue on the site, because I would not have ordered.

Pretty good needs a few modifications
Received the cab enclosure faster than stated on website (day before big snowstorm). Fits nicely for the most part. Easy to install with a few modifications. The top hinge I had to cut as it does not fit over the hand grab as instructions say. You will need a drill as well as bottom hinge does not fit thru window holes like the instructions state, you have to drill a hole to mount the hinge. Back window is too long, the bottom is about 2 inches below where you are supposed to be able to mount it, not a big deal I found, just frustrating trying to make it work. The flap over the door I cannot get to fit correctly no way no how. It lets in a LOT of cold air as it acts like a funnel, plus they did not include the velcro tape for the tabs. It would work better with velcro across the top instead of the ties going thru the skylight and needs velcro on bottom of flap to hook to top of door to make it more airtight. Installation was pretty easy if you clean your machine where the tape goes, make sure the metal is warm for 6 hours (you have to wait to put cab on for 6 hours after you put on the velcro tape) and have a grinder, metal saw to cut the hinge. Oh, and the front lights catch the door, I had to push my lights up to get the door to open and close correctly. It does a good job of keeping air movement to a minumum which helps in freezing tempertures when plowing snow. If they would fix the problems this would be an easy simple installation. It is still worth the money I paid and I can/did make the modifications which makes it a really nice item in my book!

We have had the enclosure on for 3 weeks and are very satisfied with it's performance. The enclosure was very easy to inslall on my skidloader with only one hole to drill in existing cab , and some grinding of uper door hinge bracket to lower door about 3/8'' to make clearance of lights. After the first week of use we also purchased a heater box and installed on the floor of our unit as well.
I would recomend this product to any one wanting a qaulity enclosure at a resonable price comparied to factory units avalable.
Thank you for anoter qaulity product ; Big Al
