Not sure of exact mesh size but have used to strain my abrasive which is fine grade. Works well.....wish it had a rim to hold material but for the money it works well. I strain into a 5 gallon pail. Catches all the debris and then with a slight bang upside down cleans out well and does not clog.

Abrasive Strainer reuse hints strainer rim could be 2 inches bigger to fit 5 gallon pail......have shelter inside big garage to blast inside during winter, I sweep up and strain abrasive then reuse...works well. It could use two handles to help shake. March 14, 2011

Great Product This is a great product and would recommend it. The only thing that i had a problem with is that the screen will not fit a 5 gallon bucket. It is to small and will fall down inside the bucket, so you have to hold it all the time. July 21, 2009

Great Tool I have been looking for one of these for a long time. It can quickly strain larger particles out of the sand and reuse it. Prevents clogs and fits right in the funnel of the blaster. Saves a lot of time and money. Love it! April 14, 2008

We'll see I got this a few weeks back and haven't had a chance to use it yet. The screen seems strong enough, I just hope it's not too course. I'm not a big fan of recycling media, but I spilled a bunch and now have to get the pine needles out of it. Overall it looks weel made. January 14, 2008
