Milton V-Style Hi-Flo Steel Plug - 1/4in. FNPT, Model# S-761-1
Just look at the size of the opening compared to the typical I/M type plug. This thing will flow some serious air. Seems well made too, I have several of 'em around.

Big difference between fittings
I just purchased a few of these and the males along with a male and female coupler. Have been using the big box store brands of fittings and couplers. These are really better because of the inside diameter. The fittings purchased locally (not Milton) have a smaller ID than these Miltons. Another unusual incident occurred when trying to connect this Milton to the quick connect already installed on the compressor hose. The big box store coupler would not accept the Milton! But the Milton coupler accepts both its own as well as the big box store brand quick connects!
Very happy with these new pieces and will stay away from anything but Milton.

Milton V-Style Hi-Flo Steel Plug Model# S761-1
These 1/4" Milton V-style are the ultimate coupling. I used exclusively female S764 and S765 V-style on my compressor/hoses/airlines, and I used these male V-style on on my hoses/high CFM airtools. To save a few bucks I used the male M-style on my low CFM airtools. The M-style is used by my friends so if I borrow an airtool it will work seamlessly with my setup. Northern Tool is the only source I've found for these!

High flow "V" style connectors are they way to go. They help reduce the bottle neck that connectors make allowing more air to flow at lower (or higher) pressures giving your tool more power.
Milton makes some of the best quick connects out. I've tried the cheap immitations and they just don't last, getting chewed up quicker and leaking. Go with Milton, the little extra in cost is well worth the frustraiton, even for the home hobbiest.
