No more dead lifting trannies Ask anyone who's ever dropped a transmission they were trying to dead lift into a car how expensive that mistake was and you'll realize that this lift is a bargain. It's good for lifting trannys, transfer cases, axles, pretty much anything that will fit on it's plate. I like the precision control of the jack motion and the wheels make it very easy to move around. April 25, 2013

No Quality Control I bought this transmission jack yesterday. This morning I spent 30 minutes putting the jack together, only to find the hydraulic ram very spongy, and the pump was very noisy. I called The Torin Company and after talking to the tech it was determined the jack needed to be purged. After the purging the ram was still spongy. It was then determined that the hydraulic fluid was low. Off to the auto parts store...I added approximately 90 ounces of fluid to bring the hydraulic fluid to the proper level. I re-purged the system, and tried the jack...same results. I called Torin back and they said it was defective and to return it. I asked about reimbursement for the hydraulic fluid I bought. Ed at Torin said it was normal to have to add fluid to bring the jack to the proper level...Really...Really...adding 90+ ounces is normal. Still no Joy...I am returning and will buy a competitor's product. December 5, 2012

transmission jack excellent jack... we've changed transmissions, fuel tanks with it and it's done a excellent job.... don't know how we ever did without it... Sure beats man handling a transmission up over your head... October 8, 2012

Transmission Jack I purchased this jack because of the need to remove transmissions from vehicles on a hoist lift. The two stage jack works and performs effortlessly. The included safety chains allow the transmission to be securely mounted to the jack. This jack is also great for removing and installing gas tanks. Maintenance has been zero. It is a must have for the professional technician. May 14, 2012

not so good got the jack and found fluid in the box assembled it and tried to use it and it leaks so bad it wont lift a 150 pound trans May 8, 2012

works on Ford F350 auto transmission Was able to lift this size of transmission fine. The nob for the tilt adjustment is difficult to turn. Also the release valve will drop the transmission too fast if you are not careful. Other than that, it works as designed. Good height. May 7, 2012
