RDS Diesel Install Kit for Auxiliary Diesel Fuel Tank - Fits 1999-Current Ford, 2011-Current Chevrolet and GMC, and Dodge 1999-2012, Model# 011025
Works as advertised
Only issue I have with this kit, and it's my truck, not the kit was the difficulty of getting to the filler hose, to cut it. My 2014 ford has a metal filler neck that extends 8 inches or so from the bed and the only way I could get to the hose to cut it was to lay on the ground, reach around the spring, and use a dremel. Once I got the hose cut, it installed in another 10 minutes, and works fine. I leave the valve open as the instructions say to and I have been driving on full all week with no spillage or leaks.

I installed this kit last when I installed an RDS aux tank in the bed of my 2009 F250 Super Duty diesel before we took a 11,000 mile cross country trip with our 39', 4 slide Montana 5th wheel. It was easy to install and worked without any problems. One problem I had was that on this trip we would sometimes draw the fuel from the main tank faster than it would feed, but when you make stops, it continues to fill. With two dogs along, we made a lot of pit stops, so we never ran our main tank empty when there was still fuel in the aux tank.

Easy to install but shutoff does not work
So I installed it (30min max install) with the shutoff horizontal like the instructions say, filled the tank and opened the valve. It filled to the 'T' then stopped, I thought all was well. I went to bed and the next morning 2-3 gallons of diesel had run out during the night. So needless to say I only open the valve when I want to fill my tank then close it after it is full. I have found that while driving I can run my main tank (32gal) almost empty, then open up the 37gal reserve and start driving again, burn through at least 10-15 gal before it fills the tank. So I don't worry about it over flowing if I continue to drive. While in town I open it for about an hour to get 1/3 tank refilled.
This auto shutoff did not work for me so learn how fast your tank drains and just open and close the valve accordingly.

A little better quality
Everything is great except for the quality of the ball valve and check valve. I would have liked them to be better quality products. Even if the price would have been higher. Thank you

In bed tank refuel kit
Great kit. Comes with everything you need and is a snap to install. Just put the valve on the pipe before you put the pipe on the factory tanks filler hose. Was having problems after installation but that was me not thinking. The kit only replaces what fuel has been used from the main tank so you need to fill up (or close to full) the main tank after installation. Works great!!

Install kit works for Ford Superduty (GAS)
Much like the tank I ordered I read all the reviews and found that they were helpful. The install kit arrived much faster than the tank so I had plenty of time to plan my install. I understand that these kits are for diesel only due to DOT regulations. I have a 2003 Ford F350 with the V-10 and could not find any straight answers regarding the fit of this kit. I read and was told that the fill pipe for the gas models had a smaller diameter. Mine measured 1.5 inches, just like the diesel models. I took the chance and it paid off. Everything fit perfectly and was easy to install. I gave it 4 stars because I believe the price was double what it needed to be and the kit required 4 hose clamps Vs. the two supplied. See the attached picture prior to adding additional clamps.

When I first thought about getting this product I was worried it would not work. The install was pretty simple, it only took about 15 mins. It works great no overflow problem. Which was my main concern. It even comes with a shut off just in case. Very happy with the rate of flow it keeps my factory thank full.

I put this on my 2011 f-350.took me about 1 hour.make sure you hook your hose up to it before you install it to your main fill line.(just saves you from having to do with very limited room).put the check valve on top.I had to put a hole in my bed, then hooked it in to my L-tank.it worked great! just turned the valve on and off we went.drove 4700 miles on my first trip pulling my fifth wheel.what a great time saver.left it on the whole time.except when I filled truck and L-tank.can't say enough good about it.

Went on a 2011 Ram 2500
This is the second time I have installed this kit. I just put it on my 2011 Dodge Ram 2500. It took a little more work to install it on this truck compared to my 03 Ram. I had to take the plastic wheel liner out. Then I took off the rubber house that goes between the steel line and tank. I probably cut that rubber piece in half and put the T piece in and put everything back together. Whole job probably took a couple hours. I also used a lift which makes it much easier.
