Good Grip - Good Price
These string knit gloves have worked well for cutting and splitting firewood for me. They are also good for handling cardboard boxes. They can be used on both sides and can be washed with the laundry when dirty. The PVC string coating offers a good grip on wood even when wet or muddy. No gloves last forever when working with wood and these are no exception; but their modest price makes them economical to use and replace when worn out. Since they are ambidextrous, you can even replace single gloves when they are worn out. My only negative comment for this type of glove is that it doesn't offer much protection against splinters and it would be better to use cut resistant Kevlar gloves for working around chainsaws. Order a dozen and you will see the value over one pair of leather gloves especially when it is wet.

Excellent work glove
I've used these ever since they first came out sometime back in the late seventies early eighties.
They are what I call ambidextrous, that is if you lose one and have a second pair you don't have to worry about trying to match them. One glove fits your right hand just as well as it fits your left. When I was a kid I was always losing one glove so I would wind up trying to do farm chores while trying to wear two right hand gloves.
I have large hands and these gloves actually fit. I also like the fact that they grip things very well, especially wood. I used to have a real problem with heavy things slipping out of my grip.
I've used these in all kinds of weather, from summer to the deep cold of winter. If you are going outside to work they will keep you warm. I do not recommend them if you are going outside in cold weather to do very little, your hands will get cold then.
