Tree Sprayer
I had a serious bag worm infestation in 30 Douglas fir trees which were otherwise very healthy 30 foot beauties. I purchased your tow behind high pressure 16 gal. tree sprayer and I must say it is everything you advertised,worked perfectly,instructions were clear and easy to follow. I am using the equipment regularly and I am very pleased with my purchase. In these troubled economic times, or any time actually,it is a pleasure to deal with a good company like Northern Tool. I especially like the sprayer's adjustable spray head and the ability to reach over thirty feet high and eradicate the bag worms and save my trees. I won't hesitate to look to Northern to solve any other problems I may encounter. I am looking forward to many years of service with this equipment. I would recommend Northern to my family and friends. George

Sprayer wand problem
I like everything about this sprayer except for the handheld sprayer wand. I have only used it for 2 seasons and the cheap plastic parts on the wand have not held up and, in fact snapped off in two places. After useage I always rinse everything out with fresh water and store in a protective shelter. This morning I had to scrounge up another wand from an old hand held tank in order to use the unit. Needs better plastic parts or brass in my opinion.
Other than that, I really do like it.

Tree Spray/fine mist
Shippment contained all parts(no missing screws etc). The grippers for the nozzle are not the right size nor shape to hold this horn-nozzle. We use a bunge to hold it all. The longer hose is a plus. The advantage of this system is the 200 psi delivery. This allows much finer droplets that travel with velocity enough to reach into trees and bushes. It also covers nearly twice the area with the same volume of pesticide,compared to the lower pressure units. We've only had the unit for a few days; but have run 300 gallons of spray( professional contractor). The mist/fog position of the nozzle lever is quick to set, so you can spray a lawn then quickly back off to due the ornamentals without damaging them.
This system also has a priming and mixing valve. We also use this in the 30% position to reduce nozzle pressure when doing flower beds etc.
The unit will not hold 200 psi for more than acouple seconds with the nozzle open; you need to learn to burst spray, to reach up into trees.

tow behind sprayer with optional boom kit
We pull this product behind a lawn tractor and spray about 6 acres of horse pasture 2 or 3 times a year. It has performed well with the exception of the wand support and the wheels. The wand clips did not hold the wand to the unit while being pulled over moderately rough ground. We had to secure it with wire ties. The wheel bearings were prone to failure. In the three or four years we have owned our sprayer, the wheels have been replaced twice due to bearing failure. We have generally been happy with the purchase.

A lifesaver for our trees
We have a row of Leyland Cyprus that were so infested with bag moths we were well on our way to losing them. To have a professional come out and spray them was cost prohibitive. So, we took a chance and purchased this sprayer. Well, it has saved all our 30 foot trees except one and we haven't given up hope for it as it is now starting to put back out. This product does everything that it claims and we do not regret the purchase whatsoever.

NorthStar Tow-Behind Tree Sprayer
I found that this sprayer went beyond my greatest hopes. It was easy to assemble and the instructions clear. I have used it to spray 25 foot oak trees and 20-25 foot pecan trees and reached the very top. I also used it to help me do a control brush and grass burn. The reach of the spray pressure enabled me to stop the fire at each point desired in a 15 mph wind. It is easy to prime and can quickly be cleaned-up after the use of either pesticide or herbicide. The 10 acre plot that it was used on only required one refill of herbicide and got a good kill on the brush without wasting product.
This a good unit to use in small areas where a 200 gallon spray rig can't go plus the bigger spray rig doesn't generate the pressure the 16 gallon unit does. As my advanced age the size is also a plus for handling and storage.

NorthStar Tow-Behind Tree Sprayer
.I have 10 acres of land with numerous Douglas fur and blue spruce pine trees. I notices that several trees were infected with pine beetle. To prevent further infestation of surrounding trees, I needed a way to spray up (35 ft) to prevent the spreading of the pine beetle. I had to be able to pull it with my ATV, and allow me to spray several trees before refilling the spray tank. I looked at several sprayers and then remembered that I had a good experience with searching for products on Northern Tool and Equipment website. That is where I found the NorthStar. I have used the sprayer many times and found it to be easy to operate and very effective in preventing further infestation. I found the 16 gallon tank good, but I have decided to order the 26 gallon tank to allow me more spraying time. Love the product

Tree Sprayer has some great features
My Northern Tools tree sprayer has been a great timesaver in many ways: it's easy to fill, easy to clean with its convenient drain, the hose wrap engineering works, great pressure to reach the tallest trees that are sprayed here, and its capacity is adequate to save lots of time. My single most important advice to owners and future owners is to adjust the pump pressure to 160 psi or below because the hose will weaken and burst at higher contant pressures.

THIS TREE SPRAYER REALLY DOES SHOOT ABOUT 30 FEET THE CONSTRUCTION IS A LITTLE BIT FLIMSY BUT IF YOU ARE CAREFULL IN USING IT THIS SPRAYER CAN MAKE SHORT WORK OF A BIG JOB
