My most frequently used air drill
I've used this tool extensively for the past several years and I haven't had any trouble with the actual drill. I am particularly impressed with the available torque. This drill will power a 3/8" drill bit in steel with absolutely no problem. It is the most frequently used of my air drills. I have a few nits to pick with it however:
The poor fit of the chuck key to the chuck is particularly annoying with larger drill bits when I want the chuck to be extra tight. It is difficult to keep it from "skipping".
The trigger stroke is too short to be really useful as a variable speed device. The drill wants to run full bore or none. It is difficult to hold it at a middle speed. This deficiency coupled with it's high rpm makes it difficult to keep from burning up drill bits above a 1/4 inch size when drilling in steel.

Works like a charm!
I build Nuclear Submarines for the U.S. Navy for a living and need my tools to perform in some of the worst conditions imaginable. My Ingersoll Rand drill has never failed me yet. From extreme heat to below zero temps she's always been able to work when other drills would simply stop. I'm sure this drill will be still going strong long after I am!

Ingersoll Air Drill
As far as I know, this drill is the best design and operation you can get. That goes for all small drills - both air and electric powered.
The unit will last a very long time, and it is well worth the price for it.

IR Quiet
I work aircraft and the IR Quiet Technology is great. They've manage to hit the nail on the head. You get 15 to 20 drills going at one time and any break in the noise level is a god send. I would deffinately recommend this drill for use by any serious worker that needs a good strong drill with a substantial cut in the noise level.

Air drill
Drill works great for drilling most metals and has nice torque for slower speeds if drilling steel. Reversible function is awesome coming from a time when that function was non-existent in the past. Only complaint is the chuck key itself is not the right dia. for the hole in the chuck and is quite sloppy. Overall though the drill is excellant.
